Two years ago, Scarlet awoke in the forest alone, afraid, and unable to remember anything. Lost and confused, her life was a mystery...until she met a boy with a familiar voice.

Gabriel Archer has a voice from her past, and Scarlet's determined to remember why. She immerses herself in his life only to discover he has a brother he's kept hidden from her: Tristan Archer.

Upon meeting Tristan, Scarlet's world becomes even more muddled. While she's instinctively drawn to Gabriel, she's impossibly drawn to Tristan--and confused out of her mind. As she tries to piece together her history Scarlet realizes her past...might just be the death of her.

I love the idea of the plot with Immortal Twin brothers love triangle and curses.

I was not feeling the romance between Gabriel and Scarlet. She falls for him, but later finds out he has secrets. And those secrets have to do with her past. Gabriel seems like the good twin who is the responsible one.

Tristan who I like is the mysterious brooding hero. He definitely caught my attention but did get a little annoyed because I kept getting unwanted answers through out the book. I love heroes who are mysterious as long as I get little by little info on why they are so mysterious. Tristan’s mysterious past keeps adding through out the book but nothing is answered about his other mysterious stuff until the very end. Once I found out about some of his mysterious past I was just “Awe”...he is for sure a swoon worthy hero. He is more of the irrational twin.

I loved reading almost every scene with Tristan and Gabriel together. Some of their moments together did make me giggle a little.

Through out the book there are so many things I wanted to know like what is up with Scarlet’s legal guardian. I felt like she knows something that is going on with Scarlet’s past. Through out the book I got the feeling that Tristan and Scarlet had a secret love affair in the past or something. There is something in their past that is making him vulnerable around her and he should not be like this. The symbol Scarlet likes to draw was awesome when I finally found out what it was and how she knows. But it was at the end and still left more unwanted answers.

For me it was hard to rate Anew between liking it and loving it. I had to go with liking it because it was very easy to put down with so many unwanted answers, especially when I would continue and then find out there were more unwanted answers.

The ending is one that left me wanting more. There are definitely some stuff that was not answered in Anew and hoping I will find out more in Awry (Archers of Avalon, Book Two).
