After watching the mini series trailer for Confess I had to bump it up on my TBR pile ASAP.  Colleen Hoover is a mastermind when it comes to originality. I loved the confessions and actual paintings.

Well I did not love Confess has much I was hoping for. On the other hand I did not hate it either. What happened to her alpha male heroes I love to read about. Emory who is Auburn's best girlfriend has more balls than Owen. I understand why Owen at times did have to stand down but I really needed him on quite a few occasions do some serious ass kicking. I was actually shocked a few times he did not step in. In one scene I actually did not like him for not stepping in.

I was missing the sexual tension and  couple chemistry Colleen Hoover is known for in her books. Owen and Auburn were cute and a bit awkward together. I liked it but was still not always feeling their chemistry.  I loved and respected them as individuals. They are both selfless and the sacrifices they endure for their loved ones is sad and beautiful.

Confess is broken down in Two Parts. Part One was boring. I kept waiting for something major to happen and nothing did until the last chapter. Part Two was a bit better than Part One as I could not swipe my kindle fast enough but still I needed some situations to be dealt with more.

Overall Confess was not a bad read. I did feel that there was too many serious themes happening.  I felt a lot of  times certain scenarios were rushed and not fleshed out. I was really shocked by this because Colleen Hoover is a amazing story teller who can bring out different emotions. Confess should of been one of those books where I could laugh, cry, get angry and go all fan girl on the hero. Unfortunately the execution and emotions were not there for me.

I think this will be one of those occasions where I will like the on-screen better.

This novella is a companion novel to the Hopeless series, but can be read as a standalone. A chance encounter in the dark leads eighteen-year-old Daniel and the girl who stumbles across him to profess their love for each other. But this love comes with conditions: they agree it will only last one hour and it will only be make-believe.

When their hour is up and the girl rushes off like Cinderella, Daniel tries to convince himself that what happened between them only seemed perfect because they were pretending it was perfect. Moments like that with girls like her don’t happen outside of fairytales.

One year and one bad relationship later, his disbelief in insta-love is stripped away the day he meets Six: a girl with a strange name and an even stranger personality. Daniel soon realizes the way he pretended to feel about Cinderella and the way he really feels about Six may not be so different after all. Especially when the two loves of his life end up being one in the same.

Unfortunately for Daniel, finding Cinderella doesn’t guarantee their happily ever after…it only further threatens it.

Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…

That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried.

Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever.

Recommended for readers 17+ due to sexual content, harsh language and heavy subject matter.

Wow! I can not believe it has taken me so long to read a Colleen Hoover novel. She is a master story teller with a beautiful writing voice. The twist and turns had me engrossed till the very end. I am now a huge fan of Colleen Hoover and look forward to reading more of her novels.

Now I know what all the hype was about with Holder in the blogosphere. Hands down Holder is the sexiest, swoon worthy hero. Holder is intense and is either angry or charming there is no in between with him. He is passionate about life, love, words, his sister and best of all about Sky.  Loved his character from his sexy tattoo (which was awesome and love what it meant)  to his sweet, caring and a bit of an alpha male attitude.

Sky is what I love in my heroines that are broken on the inside. Loved that she knows she is broken, does not know why, but still has a backbone. She is not over the top whiney or too strong willed. She has her moments of breaking down and if I was in her shoes I would be a complete basket case. Loved that she was able to go head to head with Holder and it was not over the top but perfect with the story line.

I adore Sky's best friend Six. She is spunky and everyone should have a true best friend like her. She was perfect for Sky and loved their scenes together.

I could not swipe my kindle fast enough to see if  Holder and Sky would get their HEA. If any couple in the history of novels deserves a HEA it is Holder and Sky. They are hot-fan-your self together and their scenes are well written.

Even though there is no cliffhanger and has a beautiful ending, I still need more of Holder and Sky. I am begging Colleen Hoover to please make this a series. At least I still have Holder's POV in Losing Hope (Hopeless #2) to get my fix.

I love the blurb as it is mysterious. I have to say I had no idea going in what Hopeless was about and was shocked so many times. Kudos to Colleen Hoover for taking two major issues and creating a powerful story with many layers at a good pace. Be prepared to be shocked and have many tissues handy.

Swoon: Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

Swoon is a meme featured on Thursdays by YA Bound. From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Hopeless (Hopeless, #1)
...he takes both of my hands in his and interlocks our fingers. "Look at me." I lift my eyes to his trying to hide the disappointment from realizing our mutual attraction is on two different levels. "Sky, I'm not going kissing you tonight but believe when I tell you, I've never wanted to kiss a girl more. So stop thinking I'm not attracted to you because you have no just how much my hair I am. You can hold my hand, you can run your fingers through my hair, you can straddle me while I feed you spaghetti, but you are not getting kiss tonight. And probably not tomorrow, either. I need this. I need to know for sure that you're feeling every single thing that I'm feeling the moment my lips touch yours. Because I want your first to be the best first kiss in the history of first kisses."

Thoughts;
This is where I am at and I want more. OMG I am bummed have to go to work. How I am suppose to work now, when I have the sexy-swoon worthy Holder on my mind.
