Review: Cash (The Henchmen MC #2) by Jessica Gadziala

Cash by Jessica Gadziala
Series: The Henchmen #2
Genre: Erotica/Contemporary Romance, Biker Romance
Publisher: Author (February 2, 2016)

The Henchmen return, this time with CASH as our leading man.

CASH

My life has been about three things- brotherhood, good times, and women. Easy. Nothing complicated. That was until Willow Swift came barging back into my life, face bloodied, banging at the gates of The Henchmen compound calling in a favor owed. Now a marker is a marker and I had to make good, but if there was one woman in the world I didn't need in my life, it was the hard-as-stone, hot-as-sin Willow Swift and whatever mysterious ghosts from her past that were haunting her present.

WILLOW

My life has been nothing but two things: hard and complicated. The last person I wanted in my business was the notorious love-em and leave-em Cash, but I needed help and he was the only one I could lean on without worrying about him finding out about my past. But I was starting to wonder if maybe he was his own kind of dangerous bent on tearing down some things I had long since learned were not possible for me- like falling for a guy I could not, ever, let see the real me.

While this can be read as a stand-alone, you will get more out of this book if you read "Reign" and "Monster" first.

Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It
POV: Dual 1st

Thoughts: Started off good with some fun time bickering with Willow and Cash. Adored his flirty laid back attitude. His personality did help me to cope with her over the top kick ass attitude. He was the perfect guy for her. He had a way of breaking down this huge wall she has built to never let anyone get close to her. I have no experience what she went through in her past and never would want to. I at least have a understanding at why she became the woman she is today. The bad guy is full on creepy.

Was looking forward to Cash and Willow story. Was not a hit but also was not a bust either. Did have the same scenario with Cash not letting his MC brothers in on what was going on with Willow like the first book did with its hero/heroine. Wanted something different in that direction. Same as book one, good plot idea but a lot happens last half of book. Once again repetitive Dual 1st POV.

Noted that this can be a stand alone. But better if read Reign (Henchmen MC #1) the first book and Monster (Savages #1) a different series. I did read Reign first and enjoyed Cash and Willow as secondary characters. I did not read Monster as was not lost. I assuming the one new character is from there. There were 3 groups in this book. I am curious if this series is really going to be focusing more on each couple and the MC life taking the back burner. I was hoping to get more of the MC life and their doings. Once again I am interested in the secondary characters.

Double Quickie Review: Water Bound / Bound Together by Christine Feehan

Read these last year and never gotten around to do a review. I had no plans of finishing Sisters Of The Heart Series anytime soon.  Love my Biker reads and was so excited one of my favorite authors Christine Feehan was coming out with a Biker series Torpedo Ink. Bound Together the last book in Sisters Of The Heart series introduces readers to the Torpedo Ink MC. I had to read it before I started Torpedo Ink series. Personally for me I have no problems reading any Christine Feehan books out of order. Some might so if not sure I would definitely check other reviews. I did feel the last book gave me enough details to what has been happening with the characters that I am curious about.

The last thing Lev Prakenskii remembered was being lost in the swirling currents of the ocean and getting sucked deeper into the nothingness of a freezing black eddy off the coastal town of Sea Haven. Just as quickly, just a miraculously, he was saved—pulled ashore by a beautiful stranger. But Lev has no memory of who he is—or why he seems to possess the violent instincts of a trained killer. All he knows is that he fears for his life, and for the life of his unexpected savior.

Her name is Rikki, a sea~urchin diver in Sea Haven. She has always felt an affinity for the ocean, and for the seductive pull of the tides. And now she feels drawn in the same way to the enigmatic man she rescued. But soon they will be bound by something even stronger, and their tantalizing secrets will engulf them both in a whirlpool of dizzying passion and inescapable danger.
Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It

Thoughts: I really wanted to like this book more. I did not hate it but did not love it either. Rikki has some personal issues do not remember what exactly was wrong with her. I did feel for her struggles in life as Christine Feehan portrayed her personal issue good.  But was also frustrated as the story became repetitive with her personal issue. If a fan of Christine Feehan you will understand how she likes to go into every detail of her books. Usually in her books do not bother me but this time less would of been better for me.

Loved Lev as he was Christine Feehans typical alpha male hero. He was so patient with Rikki and her needs.

Blythe Daniels thought she’d never see Viktor again after he murdered her stepfather and left without a word. She rebuilt her life without him, becoming a personal trainer and physical therapist...becoming strong enough for others to lean on. But when Viktor comes back to Sea Haven, he’ll make Blythe question everything she thought she knew about good and evil—and the dark desires of the heart...
Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It

Thoughts: I think Viktor might be one of Christine Feehans most stubborn heroes she has created and loved it. Blythe definitely had her hands full with him. Loved her character and thought she was perfect for him and his crew. The secondary characters were amazing. Really do not know how to live a normal life because of their past. It was nice to see them try to  fit in socially thanks to Blythe who becomes like a mother to them all.

She's Holding On Tight.

As a teen, Dawn ran from a life on the streets straight into the arms of Jimmy "Mad Dog" Sanchez, a biker who promised to be her knight in shining armor. But his love was just another cage. Years later, Dawn's former life still has its hooks in her and she'll do whatever it takes to break free. When Cade "Ryder" O'Connor, a member of a rival club, makes her an offer, Dawn finds herself in a different, hotter kind of trouble with one irresistible Sinner…

Will He Give Her The Ride Of Her Life?

Cade is an outlaw biker with allegiance to one thing and one thing only: The Sinner's Tribe Motorcycle Club. But when it comes to the stunningly sexy, fiercely independent Dawn Delgado, Cade finds himself…hungrier for more. Trouble is on Dawn's heels and he wants to be the answer to her prayers, whether she wants him to be or not. What can't be denied is the red-hot attraction between them. However, as they fall deeper, the danger rises and Cade may have to sacrifice it all…

Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It

Thoughts: I adored Cade especially when he was spending time with Dawn and her 7 year old twin girls. Love family and kids in my reads. Sarah Castille did a great job with Dawn's daughters. Loved  seeing him interact with the kids. Seeing a badass alpha male biker be gentle and trying to understand them was a so much fun.

I felt so bad for Dawn. It is hard enough to raise kids as a single parent on your own. But to have a crappy ex who is just evil and to top it off his shit of a sister making her life hell is the worst. Poor thing could not catch a break from them.

I am loving this series.

Life / Review: Ruin & Rule by Pepper Winters

Hi everyone. Been a little busy last week with work and weekend home spring cleaning. I have had this book on my mind the last few days and was going to write a review when I realize I wrote a review end of last year on goodreads before I started blogging again. Hope to get to visiting blogs this week. Have a great week.

Ruin & Rule by Pepper Winters
Series: Pure Corruption MC
Genre: Dark Contemporary Romance, Biker Romance
Publisher: Forever (July 7, 2015)
Pages: 416
Format: Kindle
Source: Bought

"We met in a nightmare. The in-between world where time had no power over reason. We fell in love. We fell hard. But then we woke up. And it was over . . ."

RUIN & RULE

She is a woman divided. Her past, present, and future are as twisted as the lies she's lived for the past eight years. Desperate to get the truth, she must turn to the one man who may also be her greatest enemy . . .

He is the president of Pure Corruption MC. A heartless biker and retribution-deliverer. He accepts no rules, obeys no one, and lives only to reap revenge on those who wronged him. And now he has stolen her, body and soul.

Can a woman plagued by mystery fall in love with the man who refuses to face the truth? And can a man drenched in darkness forgo his quest for vengeance-and finally find redemption?

Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It

Thoughts: I was enjoying it in the beginning as it was intense and had an edge to it. I was slowly feeling different emotions for Kill the hero and the heroine. Loved trying to piece together what was happening. I had so many questions and thought I had so many answers. Some were right and some I was way off. But then the plot took a different direction and from there it started to go down hill a little bit. I got some answers about Kill but then new questions popped up. He actually started to annoy me. I finally understood why he kept things from the heroine or really I have an idea has my new questions were never really fully answered. Especially since not everything is what it seems to be. The story started to drag out in places. I felt like a lot of scenes seemed like fillers. I know there is a second book but I do not know when or if I will read it.

This is not your typical MC book. Get a glimpse of the Pure Corruption MC. Their take on running their club is different and interesting.

***This book ends with a small cliffhanger. Intended for 18+. May contain Triggers.***

I was raised by the Devil himself.

Formed into a man who was unreachable.

I went from the boy with bruises to the man with a trigger.

Killing is the only thing that calms the itch.

The demons inside were a constant battle…

…until she changed everything.

Problem is when you spend most of your time in the dark, is it smart to step into the light?
Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It
POV: Dual 1st

Thoughts: Wow what a edge of your seat, gritty, hold nothing back, in your face Biker read. Seriously Trigger gets right down to business in the Slaughter Room. A room with no windows, tile walls and a drain for the Devil's Reach MC to interrogate  anyone who crosses them.

Trigger the hero is a badass, powerful, alpha male President of the Devil's Reach MC. Everyone fears him and know that if you get on his bad side you are a dead man. Readers first learn this in the slaughter room and true to character all the way through story. He has some demons going on and his flash backs show how he became the man he is today. My heart hurt for him.

Love the Slow Burn Romance for now. Tess and Trigger are perfect for each other. Both have their own issues and neither try to change or fix each other. All he knows is how to demand what he wants. Some might fear him but still have enemies. If his enemies ever think Tess is his weakness,  to get to him they will go after her. Only people he has ever cared about are his MC brothers. She soothes his demons and brings light to his dark mind.  He is not your sweet words and flowers type. He does not know how to really express himself with Tess.

"Stay off my men’s bikes."

I turned to glare at him. "Why?”"

"Because it means something."

"I rode on yours. What does that mean?"

"It means stay the hell off their bikes."

Do not know a lot about Tess only a few of her thoughts about her past.  Since this is a Trilogy I guess or hopefully I will get my answers in book 2.

Triple Quickie Review: It Ain't Me, Babe / Heart Recaptured / Souls Unfractured by Tillie Cole

Decided to do a quickie review for Hades Hangmen Series by Tillie Cole since I binge read them. Wow what a series. Different and kept making me want more after each book. Really it was Flame in Souls Unfractured  who I could not wait to get to his story in book 3. He is introduced in book 1 and wanted to know more about him.

Series Thoughts: This Biker series is different from what I have ever read. Have an MC Club and their enemies a Cult. Never read anything dealing with a Cult and was pretty interesting. Heroes are rough around the edges and some are broken. They all have different personalities but have one thing in common. They are loyal and protect each other and anybody else that comes in their family. This series  definitely have some touchy subjects and  are graphic some more than others. Flashbacks are well done and needed to really feel what the characters have been through. All the hero/heroines stay true to their character. I always liked the covers and thought they were a bit different. Now I love them as they really portray the stories.

I feel this series needs to be read in order. The overall plot containing with the Cult continues with the series. I am nervous to read book 4 because the hero. Not a fan of him and can not believe he is even getting his own book. I really want to skip it but afraid I am going to miss something big with the MC, something different with the Cult or something new to the series.

If interested in what I thought of each book I gave my mini reviews next to each one.

It Ain't Me, Babe by Tillie Cole

Genre: Dark Contemporary Romance, Biker Romance
Publisher: Tillie Cole (April 26, 2014)
Pages: 466
Format: Kindle

Series Goodreads

Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It

Thoughts: I knew going in that Styxx stutters a lot in his book. Some reviews thought it was too much and some had no issues with it. I knew I wanted to try this series but with this info I kept putting it off. Finally I was in the mood for a different kind of biker read and gave it a chance. So happy I did. Yes he does stutter a lot but it grew on me. I was right there feeling his frustration when trying to communicate with Mae as she does not do sign language. Loved that the author broke up between him signing and speaking. He has his biker brother who he signs too and felt so personal.

Heart Recaptured
Series: Hades Hangmen #2
Pages: 503

Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It

Thoughts: Lilah was a hard character to take in at times. I did not dislike her she just seemed so stubborn. I understood where she was coming from. She did not want to leave the cult that was taken from her. She could not understand they are bad people and what they are doing is wrong.

As I loved having the cult in the first book I felt it was too much of them in this book. The plot line with them towards the end felt the same as book 1. Wanted a little something different.

Souls Unfractured
Series: Hades Hangmen #3
Pages: 371

Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It

Thoughts: I could not wait for Flames story and was not expecting to have my heart broken on so many levels and be grossed out.  Everything I wanted to know about Flame with his cutting, no touching and counting I got and so much more. But most of it I wish I did not fully know . I was actually grossed out by how he lives and what he does on the floor in front of the hatch. Flash backs were a huge factor in his story and let me tell you I usually do not get bother about stuff but his made me cry and were hard to get through.

I adored, loved and admire Maddie. Through out the  series I would of never thought her to be the strongest heroine. What she does in certain scenes for Flame just amazed me. That takes a strong woman to do what she would do for him. Her flashbacks were also hard to get through.

Review: Fierce by Nina Levine

Fierce by Nina Levine
Series: Storm MC #2
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Biker Romance
Publisher: Nina Levine (February 27, 2014)
Pages: 298
Format: Kindle

She’s everything he’s never wanted. He’s everything she’s never known

Scott Cole is a force to be reckoned with. As Vice President of the Storm Motorcycle Club he carries out his duties with a ruthless determination. He moves through life with a clear agenda - protect his club and his family at all costs.

He is intense.

He is loyal.

He is fierce.

He doesn’t give his love easily, but when he does, he loves fiercely. Settling down, however, has never been part of his plan.

Harlow James is a country girl who has never met a biker in her life. She is also done with men. In her experience all they ever do is lie, cheat or steal. When she meets Scott Cole she knows he is heartbreak on legs.

He is confident.

He is sexy.

He is bossy.

She knows she must fight her growing attraction to this complex man in order to guard her heart. When his world crashes into hers and danger comes calling, Scott’s fierce desire to protect kicks in and Harlow realises that she might just have found a man worth taking a risk on.
Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It

Thoughts: I liked Storm book one but did have a few issues. Being told instead of shown, good scenes brushed over and annoying heroine. I enjoyed author writing voice and storytelling but felt she was holding back. I knew I would be reading Scott's story in Fierce as he really saved the first book for me and was curious where this series is going.

Wow Scott's story had everything I was missing before. By 9% Scott had me swooning over his character. His neighbors daughter was a nice addition to the story. Played a good part in the story that helped see the softer side to him.  Everyone thinks he is an asshole but really he just tells how it is. He does not always have the best person skills. Only get one shot with him, does not apologize or forgive easy. As long as you do not cross him he will always have your back.

It was so easy to fall for Harlow's character. She is caring and a sweetheart.  Loved that she was there taking care of her mom. She might not understand the Biker life but when stuff gets bad she has no problem letting bad people get what they deserve.

I loved the slow burn romance. Sexual tension was amazing with a delicious dirty talking hero. Scott does not do relationships and really has no clue at it. No woman has ever challenged him until he met Harlow. They are so cute and fun together.

This is the second time now Nina Levine got me interested in a secondary character. Oh how I want Blades story.

Reapers's Fall by Joanna Wylde

He never meant to hurt her.

Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.

Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.

Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.

Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It

Thoughts: I have loved all Reapers MC Novels. I was excited to read Painters Story. But sad to say his book was not a big hit for me. Was not all bad just went in with different expectations.

Reaper’s Fall started off good. Loved that they were friends first and he was a painter. But as the story progressed it just started to get a little boring. Really nothing exciting was happening. They did have a few cute and good moments. I was really missing the angst that I was expecting. That is more my bad. Finally something interesting happened and the story started to pick up.

Undeserving by Madeline Sheehan
Series: Undeniable #5
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Biker Romance
Publisher: July 31st, 2017 by Author
Pages: 341
Format: Kindle

Warning: This isn’t a romance, but instead a tale of love between two despairing people, from two different worlds, both aching for something more.

Debbie Reynolds is a runaway, New York City-bound. Living on the road comes with many challenges—fighting for her next meal, seeking safe places to sleep, and dodging men with less than honorable intentions, all while searching for meaning in a life she finds painful and pointless.

Damon “Preacher” Fox, vice president of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club, has been in prison for club-related crimes. As his release draws near, he begins to reevaluate his choices in life, realizing that if he stays with the club, this won’t be his last stint behind bars. Suddenly Preacher finds himself doubting everything he’s ever known, wishing for a life beyond the club.

When Preacher and Debbie’s paths cross, they find in each other a sense of peace they had been lacking. But life is about to catch up with Preacher, and Debbie, desperate to keep the one person who’s ever shown her any kindness, finds herself caught between forces far deadlier and more powerful than she could have ever imagined.

This is Debbie and Preacher’s story.

At the end, we should all go back to the beginning,
if only to remind ourselves that we once lived.

Rating: 5 Stars - Amazing

Thoughts: After the teaser readers got of  ZZ from Unbeloved (Undeniable #4) I was really hoping book 5 was going to be his story. But since the story had taken a different direction I understood the need to tell Preacher story first. Wow what a story he had to share. I was not prepared to have my heart broken. The feels were all over the place as I shed a few tears, wanted to strangle a few characters and had a few smiles.

Never really new a whole lot about Preacher. Only that he is the hard ass President of Silver Demons MC and loving father to Eva. Loved how Preacher story was told from him with present and past. I was right there with him experiencing his life.

Loved meeting new characters. Really not new characters but more characters that have been connected to Preacher and this series. I now have an understanding why Frankie Jr. turned out the way he did.

I know this is Preacher story but Deuce and Eva started the Undeniable series with Undeniable and have been a big part of the series and big part of his book. Loved this couple then and loved them more through out. Deuce might be rough around the edges especially in earlier books and made some mistakes. They have had their ups and downs like real life couples do. Loved seeing him stand by his wife and the support he gives her had me swooning.

"It ain’t gonna be easy," he continued, "But I know you, Eva, and you’re gonna be just fine. You know how I know?"

I looked up to find his eyes on me. "How?"

A corner of his mouth lifted. "Cause I’m gonna make damn sure of it."

Undeserving was unpredictable and had me on the edge of my seat. One thing I love about this series is I never know what I am in for. Preacher story was thoroughly thought out and as reader I am thankful for that. Well done Madeline Sheehan. The twisted, raw and gritty feel I got from Underserving brought back memories from the earlier books in the series. Strong secondary characters play a good roll through out the series. I find them best to be read in order.

ZZ sneak peak has me nervous and more excited for his story. Nervous for ZZ as he already has caused crazy chaos.  Excited for when a certain character(s) finds out what ZZ has done. Lets just say it is not going to go well. Yes I am twisted as I want the raw, gritty feel with ZZ story.

I reviewed this back in 2015 on goodreads but for some reason could not find on my blog. I have no idea what happened to it or if I never got around to posting here.

Update: LOL just found my review it was in drafts. Silly me never posted here but did on Goodreads. What was I thinking I usually post first here then Goodreads.

Dorothy Kelley is a born romantic, searching for her prince. Instead she finds herself pregnant at fifteen, and in a loveless marriage by the tender age of eighteen.

Then hope comes riding into her life on a motorcycle and within weeks, Jason “Jase” Brady, a member of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club, sweeps Dorothy off her feet.

But nothing is ever simple for Dorothy. Jase is married with children. And as Dorothy patiently waits for Jase to give her the happily-ever-after she’s been dreaming about, James “Hawk” Young, a member of the Hell’s Horsemen with secrets of his own, sees an opening into Dorothy’s life and takes it.

Carrying on two secret affairs is no easy feat. As Dorothy tries to dig herself out of the mess she’s created, covering one mistake with another, tragedy strikes, nearly costing Dorothy her life and that of her unborn son.

What follows is a long and painful journey of self-discovery and forgiveness, as Dorothy comes to realize that home was exactly where she’d left it, and the love she’d forever craved had always been within her reach.

This is the story of Dorothy, Jase, and Hawk.

We are all born pure; it is our journey that burdens us and leads us astray. Our mistakes that beat us down and cover us in guilt and shame, burying us a little more with each passing hardship. It is up to us to dig ourselves out, to come to terms with our faults, to embrace not only our imperfections but those of the ones we love, and to once again find the path we strayed from.

Warning: This is not a conventional or predictable love story. It involves one woman and two men bound by a love so destructive it spans two decades, pitting brother against brother, and shattering the lives of those touched by it.

Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It

Thoughts: I was looking forward to how Dorothy, Jase, and Hawk story played out especially after Unattainable (Undeniable #3). Sad to say I wanted more from their story. Started out strong, middle a tad boring and ended amazing.

Unbeloved is not only Dorothy's journey in finding forgiveness and self-discovery. It is also about the outcome of Hawke and Jase actions and leading to redemption. Now her journey did bore me at times. I really wanted to feel for her as she had to go through many hard obstacles to find her man. Hawke I loved his backstory as it was interesting and plays a big roll in the story.

I was thankful for the flashbacks with Dorothy, Jase and Hawke's relationship. But I really needed more. I felt their story was being told to me and not enough showing. I had no problems with their story being in the present, I really needed more shown on their past to really get the connection with each other. I wanted to see the jealousy, the sneaking around and the heartaches. Their story lacked angst and for all that they have been through it really should of been there. I wanted more Hawke and Jase at each others throat especially since they were in love with the same woman.

I was a little surprised that Preacher story is next and not ZZ. Was a little bummed readers are getting his story first but I get it now. I really wanted his scene played out and not told. I definitely want his book now in Undeserving (Undeniable #5).

Unbeloved was missing the raw, gritty, dark, emotional feel readers have come to love in the Undeniable series. It is tame, less steamy and I was fine with that. I loved that it was different than the other novels. At times a series can get old when it has the same formula and feel to it. I have stopped reading series because of the this. Some times raw, dark and gritty does not fit the characters or the story and in this case it would of not worked. But the emotional roller coaster should of been there and it was not.

ZZ alone gets a 5 star. Loved that I am only getting teasers of him. Once again I am screaming at my kindle "No.. ZZ what have you done!". Can not believe Madeline Sheehan went there. It is twisted and I love it. Once again Madeline Sheehan is brilliant. If you are a fan of ZZ and read all his fucked up actions well lovelies this has got to be the worst of them yet. His jaw dropping moment stayed with me for days. Shit's about to get real and I hope it is coming Madeline Sheehan style. Raw, gritty, dark and all kinds of fucked up.

Phoenix Ward isn’t about to let anyone take Freedom Run away from her.
He’ll protect what’s his.
She’ll protect what’s hers.
Jaeger is an arrogant ass, but he wants nothing more than Phoenix.
Phoenix is stubborn and headstrong, and she wants Jaeger out of her life.
Her father lost the family farm to gambling debts, but Jaeger isn’t the only one who has a claim to the property.
Sometimes it’s best to let things go.
But sometimes it’s better to fight until the very end.
Thoughts: It breaks my heart I am actually not finishing Grit. After reading the blurb that seemed refreshing in a Biker Romance that after awhile the plots seem to be all the same I had to try a sample.  I read the sample and was hooked from the beginning that I had to buy it. I fell hard for Jaeger and Phoenix. Both strong headed characters. Yes he is a ass at times, tell things how they are, does not sugar coat anything but it always flowed with the plot. He does have a softer side with his actions when it comes to her as she also has a caring side as well. I loved how she would challenge him but does not do it on purpose. When he is being an ass I loved that she has no problem putting him in his place.

My issue I had was the over the top "suck me off" remarks. It seems that is all the hero wants and says. Here and there is fine as I do love my dirty talking heroes but oh my goodness it was so overdone I could not take it. It really was ruining the flow of the book for me. It is to the point him just making remarks about "suck me off" not even during a sexual scene. Seriously they could be having a fight or just a normal conversation with her walking away and with him telling her "suck him off", well those are not his exact words but I am sure you get it. So I called it quits 58% in the middle of a  sex scene.

Samantha Wilde will do anything to be seen as a serious reporter. She's tired of writing articles about blemish concealer or why Goldie Hawn has aged so well. She now has her chance. Go down to Black Fall's and find out who killed Johnny Fox, ex-VP of the Black Skulls MC.

When she goes undercover and meets Asa Boone she gets in way over her head. The tattooed, intense, muscled biker is utterly delicious in every way possible and the best sex of her life. One taste and she's addicted. She needs more. But she know's that Asa is hiding something and when she finds out the truth she has to make the most important decision of her life. Completely destroy the man she has fallen for or be recognized as the reporter she has always craved.

Full length stand alone.

Thoughts: Not going to lie but Asa sexy cover got me clicking for more info. I was all ready for an intense read with Asa. After reading the awesome blurb I just had to read it as soon as I could. A reporter that goes undercover in a Motorcycle Club sounded refreshing in the biker romance world. The extreme I was looking for was between the hero and heroine as he would not know she was under cover for a while. That is not what I got.

First off  Asa the hero finds out in their first meeting that Samantha the heroine is a reporter but the rest of the MC does not know. Even though Asa knows she is a reporter I was still giving it a try as I assume the plot will be about his club not knowing.  I still enjoyed the begining and loved his character. He was intense but also had a laid back vibe going on. The sexual tension was off the charts hot. Well liking his character was short lived.

Second off I was on the fence of Samantha. There was just something about her that I could not connect with. But I was willing to give her character a try. Well her character was also short of lived.

All it took was a poorly written first sex scene for me to call it quits. Asa was so out of character. He slaps the heroine during sex. I took it as he wants to rough her up a bit so she will not continue her story with the MC. You know scare her away to protect her from the MC.  It could be he likes his sex rough. I do not know as I did not finish the book. It did not help that Samantha  said "I love you" right after she "peaked over the edge of ecstasy" right after they had sex for the first time. They have known each other for a few days. Even she was thinking wow that is too soon.

Review: Rough Justice by Sarah Castille

From bestselling author Sarah Castille comes a scorching new series featuring red-hot, hard-riding bikers and the women who can’t help but love them…

IT TAKES A GOOD, STRONG WOMAN

Raised in a motorcycle gang, tough, beautiful Arianne Hunter has always dreamed of a normal life. But no sooner does she escape her father’s domineering grasp than she wakes up to find herself in a rival gang’s clubhouse—at the mercy of the dangerously sexy Jagger Knight.

TO TAME A MAN WHO’S HELL ON WHEELS.

The alpha leader of the notorious Sinner’s Tribe, Jagger Knight is all muscle, all biker, and all man. But somewhere inside this hard tattooed outlaw, Arianne senses a kindred spirit—and she can’t ignore their tempestuous attraction. Can she beat him at his own game in a revved-up blaze of glory? Or will their passion spark a war that’s the end of the road for them both?
Thoughts: It has been some time since I read Rough Justice. As I am trying to catch up on my reviews from my long blog hiatus I realized I did a meme for Rough Justice but never did my review. While I am always looking for a new Biker Romance to win me over I still think about Rough Justice. It has everything I love in my biker reads. Gritty feel when needed and not over the top with eye rolling shocker moments. MC drama with action. Alpha Male hero that is protective but also can be gentle when needed. Brotherhood feel and fun banter with the club members.

Jagger was such an interesting character. He is calm, in control of everything and everyone around him. Loved that he does not disrespect woman.  He is one to use his brains before his fist in certain situations. But make no mistakes  because someone pushes him too far he has no problems giving a good ass whipping. Jagger made my book boyfriend list and fell hard for his character. When he loves he loves hard.

Arianne ~ "Why would you care what happened to me? That's all in the past."

Jagger bent down and touched his forehead to hers. "Because you're mine. And 'mine' means you have my protection. 'Mine' means I'll look after you. It means nothing happens you don't want to happen and no one touches you without your consent. It means your life is in my hands and I will do everything in my power to ensure you are safe and secure and your needs are met. It means something happened to you that twisted your perception so bad, you look at us and you see only them. I'll make that right. I'll give you justice. I'll give you back whatever was taken from you."

Arianne I loved her character and she was perfect for Jagger. She knows the biker life but her life was so different from how  Sinner's Tribe MC treat their woman. She knows nothing but how bad her dad the president of a rival MC and his members treated her and their woman. She can hold her own in the biker world but at the same time know when she can not. She is his equal and has his back. All she has left for family is her brother and she wants so badly to save him from falling in their father's   footsteps. But the problem is he has already started falling in their dads footsteps. My heart ached for her as she was so determined to save and help her brother.

Laynie

Smile when you’re happy, cry when you’re sad and don’t ever be afraid to try something new. These are the words I live by. We only get one shot at this life, and I intend to live the best one I can. I had it all growing up. Popularity, beauty, great friends and a perfect family. But then one day, it all changed – now I’m blind. I’ve never let that stop me though. Life is an adventure and I believe in making the best out of every moment.

I spend my days with a job I love, online friends and a sexy new book boyfriend every week. I know in my heart that someday, my own prince charming will come along and appreciate me for exactly who I am – I won’t settle for anything less. Meeting Tease seems like the beginning of my fairy tale … until he opens his mouth.

Tease

I don’t trust people – ever. Every single person I’ve ever loved has contributed, in one way or another, to the shit show that is my life. Keeping everyone I meet at arm’s length, I work hard at being the star of most people’s nightmares. People think I’m a monster and honestly – they’re right.

Laynie’s beauty is what caught my eye, but her personality is what held it. Laynie’s the only person to ever see past my appearance and break down the walls I’ve worked so hard to build. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her. When things heat up with a rival club, and Laynie gets caught in the crossfire, I will unleash hell on earth to protect the woman who makes me want to trust someone again. When bullets start flying and bodies start piling up, keeping her safe may be the last thing I ever do.

***Note: This book contains violence, strong language and descriptive sexual situations. It is intended for readers over the age of 18.

Thoughts: I am late on my  reviews and Tease was on my book boyfriend list for 2017.  He is a delicious alpha male biker who is moody,  broody and trust no one because of his past.  What I loved most was his actions with Laynie. Through out the novel he did not think twice about just grabbing her hand or putting her hand on his lower back to help guide her. He never felt sorry for her or acted different around her because of her blindness.

Laynie had the best personality and great out look on life. Instead of feeling helpless or sorry for her self when she lost her sight she decided to live life to the fullest. She does not think he is a monster. He is comfortable around her. Since her accident her family treats her differently. They think she is fragile and are still uncomfortable around her. She can hold her own with his moods.

“That’s awesome.  We’ve kissed twice, and both times, I was amazing!  You’re a lucky guy.”

They made a perfect couple. Opposites on their out look on life. She really needed someone that would not treat her different and he needed someone to show him how to really live.

Charlotte

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve taken care of everyone around me, including my self-centered older sister, Anna. When her poor choices make us targets of the Devil’s Rejects Motorcycle Club, I grab her and we run like hell. A new city, a new job, a new life. It’s almost perfect – and then I meet Ryker.

He’s gorgeous, rugged and too cocky for his own damned good. But he’s a biker – exactly the type of man I’ve been running from. I have no business getting involved with a man like him. Too bad I can’t get him out of my head.

Ryker

As V.P. of the Kings of Korruption MC, I know all about violence and loss. In my world, getting involved with a woman never turns out well. Avoiding commitment isn’t something I have to work at – it’s just a way of life. Then I meet Charlotte. Drawn to her kindness and beauty, I know there’s no place for her in my world. I have to let her go.

Finding Charlotte battered and bloody late one night, I go against my own beliefs, making it my mission to protect her. The Devils are out for blood and it’s Charlotte’s they want. Maybe I can’t keep her but I will put my life on the line to keep her safe. If not, I face losing the only woman that’s ever made me feel alive.

***Note: This book contains violence, strong language and descriptive sexual situations. It is intended for readers over the age of 18.

Thoughts: I love my biker romances. Ryker was refreshing without the over the top shock moments too make it feel like it has some grit to it.

The best was the heroine. I loved her character.  Charlotte is sweet, caring and loving.  She loves her nursing job at a facility for terminal patients. It gives her purpose to know that she was able to give family members/friends time to laugh, tie up loose ends and say goodbye to their loved ones before they die. I felt bad the only family she had since she was 17 is her older sister and she is a piece of work.

Ryker is a delicious alpha male hero who can also be gentle and caring. A bad incident from his past keeps him at arms length from her. He did have a few jerk moments. I still loved and enjoyed his character.

Awesome secondary characters that do add to the story. Look forward to reading their books.
