18 & Over Book Blogger Follow: #81 Beat The Heat

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between The Wines. This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends!

Question of the Week: What's your favorite way to beat the heat? With a light and humorous romance? A book set in the chilly north or maybe a Christmas in July special? Or is hotter better, do you crank up the heat with a sexy romance?

Answer: For sure Hotter is better. Love a good erotic novel with an actual plot and not just all sex. Just enough sex to get me hot and bothered then I can jump in the pool to cool off. Been having Wicked Lovers Series by Shayla Black on my mind lately especially Jack from Wicked Ties. Been awhile since I read this series and have fallen behind. Bought a copy for my kindle and loving every minute of it again.

Question of the Week: When going on vacay; do you pack your print books, ereader or both?

My Answer:
When I used to go on vacation my husband complained I took too many shoes. Now he complains I take too many books.  I am so bad, I take like anywhere from 5 to 10 Print books (depends how long my vacation is) and my E-reader.

If I go home to CA my mom (who is a avid reader) will read all my books in my suitcase and then we always go to her favorite used book store and I then buy more.

 Just to go on a weekend trip to our In-laws farm which is only 4 hours away I will pack my Barnes and Noble Tote Bag with my print books and also take my e-reader. My In-laws live in a very small town so the highlight of the town is walmart. My father-in-law and I have this ritual every time. We head to the movies and book section. If I am lucky I will find a good book (which he usually buys for me) and he will find a movie.  Ha..ha..I am getting better with my crazy obsession..can't leave home with out my books and e-reader. Last time we went to my In-Laws over night I just brought my e-reader. But I will confess I did download like 3 books before we left.

I enjoy different genres so I never know what I will be in the mood for. My moods change everyday on what I like to read.

Let Me In

Blurb:
On leave for Thanksgiving, the last thing marine lieutenant Talia Barnett expects to find is Liam Brodie waiting for her at the airport. He's had a starring role in her fantasies for the past two years, and although she'd love to make them a reality, she has a dark secret that prevents her from taking things further.

A former marine, Liam's specialty is planning tactical operations, and that's just what he plans to do to win Talia. The woman has kept him at arm's length for too long, and this time he's finally going to claim her—body and heart.

What begins as comfort quickly turns hot. When Liam shows Talia a hint of the dominant nature inside him, the submissive part of her flares to life. Though she desires him, she's going back on deployment and doesn't want to dump all her drama on him. Will he find a way to break through the protective walls around her heart and convince her they have a future that goes far beyond the bedroom?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why:
Callie Croix has a beautiful writing voice. Here books have emotion and depth.  Let me in is a beautiful book with a loving and caring couple. Let Me In is erotic but done tastefully and so more to the story then just good hot sex.  I loved this book and highly recommend it.
You know I could not resist putting a teaser...
His hands tipped her head back as he lowered his mouth to hers. She didn't protest. Couldn't. She wanted this. Needed this connection, to have his warmth chase away the cold and loneliness inside her.
The touch of his lips lit up every nerve ending in her body. She made a tiny sound of distress.
"Shhh, it's okay," he soothed, kissing the corner of her mouth.
She shook her head slightly, on fire but afraid of ruining everything.
He didn't let go. "I would never hurt you. Just let me..." He feathered his tongue across her lips, then pressed inside to caress her own when she opened for him. It was so damn good she couldn't stop. His mouth moved over hers in a slow, hypnotic motion, the erotic glide of his tongue making her quiver. The kiss wasn't tentative or soft. It was deep and possessive, a full-out sensual assault on her battered nervous system. He kissed her like he'd been dying to kiss her and couldn't hold back anymore.
Wow!! Are you feeling that sweet kiss? I know I am.
This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends!
Question of the Week: If your current read was made into a movie who would you cast as the characters?
I am  reading Master of the Abyss by Cherise Sinclair, Jake and Kallie story. This is my cast I pick.
Did you really think I can only post one sexy photo for the cast of my hero. Ha..ha.. I could not resist. Jack Mackenroth is sexy and rugged just like Jake the Hero. I can picture him living in the mountains running a lodge and into BDSM. He is also like Jake with his beautiful blue eyes. Enjoy lovelies.
I pick Shannyn Sossamon for Kallie. She is a tomboy with out of control short hair.
Who is the cast you pick for the book you are reading? Love to hear yours.
This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends!
Question of the Week: Is there a super hawt & smexy book that you've read and loved but would die if you ever caught your mom reading?
My Pick:
Forbidden Pleasure (Bound Hearts series #5)
by Lora Leigh
Goodreads
Blurb:
The Club is private, exclusive and only for those men whose fantasies run to the more forbidden side. . . People have heard only fleeting rumors about The Club. Located just outside Washington, D.C., only its members know where men go when they want to indulge the desire to share their women with a carefully selected male partner. Former FBI agent John ‘Mac’ McCoy resigned his membership from The Club when he married Keiley Hardin. Tempting and innocent, sweet and sexy, she would never accept Mac’s desires to share her with another man. However, Keiley’s growing curiosity and Mac’s own fantasies of sharing his wife haunt his dreams. And his passions.Unable to wait any longer, Mac invites his best friend Jethro Riggs, to their home with the intention of drawing Keiley into the pleasures that can only be achieved when two men love the same woman. But there’s more going on in Mac’s neck of the woods than a little additional pleasure. A past case involving a stalker who likes to play games has shown up again, but now Keiley is in the middle of it all. Passion and pleasure, danger and desire combine as the forbidden becomes an addiction none of them can escape.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My Answer:
Another fave of mine is Forbidden Pleasure (Bound  Hearts series) by Lora Leigh. OMG!!! I would die if my mom ever read any of  Lora Leigh's books especially Ménage. Or even any BDSM books like Cherise Sinclair.  As long as I can remember my mom has always read fluffy books. I  did broaden her horizon with some sexy books this year. But  they are mild sexy and not STEAMY. I highly recommend Forbidden Pleasure for a good Ménage story.  It has good plot with well written erotic sex scenes. Lora Leigh is the queen of dirty talk. You do not have to read the series in order. I did not at the beginning of reading this series and was not lost. Forbidden Pleasure and Wicked Pleasure are the best in the series with yummy heroes with an Alpha attitude. I also highly recommend Masters of  the Shadowlands series by Cherise Sinclair for great BDSM books.  The masters are yummy and Dominate but also sweet and gentle.

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow #25

This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends!

Question of the Week: Has a book ever left you feeling depressed? If so, make sure to share what it was and why.

Never really had a book that left me feeling depressed but have two that were to me at times heart wrenching and written so well.

At Peace by Kristen Ashley was at times a heart wrenching book for me.  It had so many real life issues and was written nicely dealing with them. While I was reading it I thought to my self I am so happy I have never gone through that then something else would happen and I was thinking OMG I have gone through that. I do not want to say what the issues were so not to give any spoilers away. This was the first book I read by Kristen Ashley and have been hooked on her books since then. This was my first book I ever read that had so many emotions involved.

Coming Undone by Lauren Dane has got to be the most heart wrenching story I have ever read.  This book seriously had me coming undone. OMG everything I wanted to know about Elise past about her Ex-Husband and Brother all came out at once.  Lauren Dane did amazing job with her characters describing and feeling with real life issues. One of the issues hit a sore spot with me because this is  part of my life and I feel the same way as Elise. Lauren Dane nailed this issue to a T.  It hit me so hard I had to actually stop reading it for a moment and take a break.  Love Lauren Dane and Coming Undone.  This was my first book by her and totally hooked now.

Question of the week:
Have you read a romance or erotic novel with an M/M or F/F relationship in it? If so, did you enjoy the read? And if you haven't, is that something you would read in the future?

My answer:
I have never read a strictly M/M or F/F book.  No reason why just never tried one. The only book that comes to mind having M/M would be Cowgirl Up And Ride. He was a secondary character (can not remember his name) and I do not remember if he was Cord the hero Cousin or Brother. Forgive me but it has been awhile since I read this book. I do remember there is a scene where he gets caught by another brother or cousin while he is having a menage quatage with other men. Okay I will have to admit the only reason I remeber this scene is one it was pretty friggin sexy reading four men getting it on. Two him and his cousin or brother play a important roll in the book. Can not give you details because it will spoil it for you.
Yes I would read a M/M or F/F book. I think I would read a M/M  before a F/F. Only because I tend to like my Hero Alpha (prefer in and out of bed). I also do like them to be Dominate, Pushy, Arrogant, Possessive, Jealous but also gentle and loving. If I read a F/F I think I would want both Heroines to be beautiful, gentle and loving but have some possessive/jealous in them. I guess I like my men to be manly and rugged. My woman I like them to be beautiful and sensual but still be kickass.
