It was my pleasure to read Getting Rowdy with a very nice descriptive image of him from his cover. 100% hotness Rowdy has going on.

I was excited but at the same a bit nervous to read Rowdy's story. Rowdy has been a huge character since the beginning of Love Undercover Series and one of my favorite secondary characters. He has always been a ladies man and never apologizes for it. Since the beginning readers just knew Avery and Rowdy would get their own story. I knew going into their story Lori Foster would deliver a well match couple but for me I was nervous to see if Lori was going to keep him true to his character from previous novels. What was I thinking. Really this is Lori Foster and she has always had her characters true from previous novels. Thank you Lori for having his character like he has always been.

Readers are either going to love or hate his character, especially after the "Office Scene". I loved it and happy it started out that way. Rowdy has had a rough childhood and because of his past he does not believe in love or settling down. He is a sweet hero who does have a alpha male attitude when it comes to people he cares about.  He has never had to pursue any lover to his bed but with Avery she was not going to be one of his one night stands.

Love that Avery was not a broken character just had a bad incident that left her running to start a fresh life. Their relationship starts off as friendship before getting intimate and loved that there was no insta-love. While she is falling in love with him and lets him know it she never once expected him to do the same. She knew what his feelings were about love and settling down.  She knew deep down he really cared for her by his actions and that work well for her. I will admit my heart broke for her when she would tell him she loved him and he would not respond back. Lori Foster did an outstanding job developing his character. Little by little readers get to see and experience Rowdy falling in love with her. Rowdy and Avery have beautiful chemistry and hot fan-your-self bedroom scenes. Another couple to add to my favorite book couples.

Loved that a new character was introduce Cannon and hope we get to see more of him.  As always love seeing how the other characters from previous novels are doing and how some get to be a part of Rowdy's story too. Was a little bummed did not get Dash and the lake house. But happy it was not in Getting Rowdy as I do not think the way the plot was going the lake house would fit in the story line. Wish Dash was more in Getting Rowdy like in earlier novels but can not complain too much as got to get a little bit of him and Lieutenant Peterson. Nicely placed to set up for their story in Dash of Peril (Love Undercover #4). Excited to see how these two are going to work together.

ARC Review: Bare It All by Lori Foster

Bare It All (Love Undercover #2)

A cop's craving to know more about the woman next door could prove fatal in the steamy new novel from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster

As the person responsible for taking down a brutal human trafficker, Alice Appleton fears retaliation at every turn. No one knows about her past, which is exactly how she prefers it...until the sexy cop next door comes knocking.

Detective Reese Bareden thinks he knows what makes women tick, but his ever-elusive neighbor keeps him guessing like no other. Is his goal to unmask Alice's secrets? Or protect her from a dangerous new threat? One thing is certain: their chemistry is a time bomb waiting to explode. And with no one to trust but each other, Reese and Alice are soon drawn into a deadly maze of corruption, intrigue and desire-and into the line of fire....

First I have to give a huge Thank You to Lori Foster for giving her Men Who Walk The Edge Of Honor fans a little treat with Trace from Trace of Fever (Men Who Walk The Edge Of Honor #2) cameo. Loved seeing Trace again and the back and forth between him and Reese about who can protect Alice better is priceless. Trace rescued Alice from human trafficking in Trace Fever. You do not need to read Trace Fever to know what is going on in Bare It All. Bare It All is Alice story and the after effect from being kidnapped plus more. I would highly recommend reading Men Who Walk The Edge Of Honor series as it is just as good as Love Undercover series.

Lori Foster had me hooked on Reese from Run The Risk (Love Undercover #1). Even though he was not the main character and was not his story, she has a way of teasing the readers with her secondary characters leading up to their book next. Reese is your sexy alpha male Detective who is also sweet and caring. If he thinks someone is being treated unfairly he will step in and does not think twice about the consequences.

Loved Alice’s character. Her being abducted has left her feeling emotionless, fearless and everything around her does not exist. I loved how she is not your damsel in distress and has no problem going into danger if it will save another woman being abducted. She has a little temper on her.

Oh my was Bare It All hotter than Run The Risk. The sexual tension and chemistry was sexy. Reese knows how to play dirty in the bedroom when he wants info on Alice past. Loved how their relationship seems so real. They are always giving Cash who is Reese’s dog treats when they want to have some love time in the bedroom.

It was nice to see how Logan and Pepper are doing. Awesome moments with them as she is like a mother hen and the group giving him a hard time about it. Getting a little more on Dash. Curious on what is going on with the Lieutenant. Best part is the friendship between Rowdy and Alice. Poor guy does not know what to do as Alice treats him like he is a girlfriend and wants his advice about some inappropriate things about Reese. Alice sure knows how to stir the pot when she is not even trying. She has a way of getting poor Reese all riled up that he always have to regroup. Loved Reese’s little jealousy over Rowdy on how she is always confiding in him. Funny moments when the group is all together. I am so happy Rowdy’s Book is next in Getting Rowdy as Lori Foster has left me wanting more of him and Avery. She already has me crushing on him.

Bare It All is another winner in the Love Undercover series. The characters feel so real they jump off the pages. It is a feel good novel with tons of yummy alpha males I wish I could take them all home and have my wicked way with them.

Review: What Chris Wants by Lori Foster

What Chris Wants (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor #4.5)
by Lori Foster
E-Book 42 pages

Blurb by Goodreads
When the going gets tough, the tough turn to Chris Chapey. As the right-hand man to a group of take-no-prisoners mercenaries, Chris can organize a top secret rescue mission with his eyes closed. But when it comes to his personal life, Chris is the one who needs a little help.

His problem: Matt Houser. Chris can’t deny his attraction to Matt, but Matt has no idea what Chris’s job really entails and how much it means to him. Matt challenges Chris to change his life—and make a place for him in it. Can Chris risk telling him the truth?

Thank you Lori Foster for giving your fans Chris’s HEA and for only selling it for .99 cents. Awesome!! Not only does Lori Foster write amazing novels but she is a sweetheart that listened to all her fans when asking for Chris’s HEA especially since he was just a sexy secondary character that was not planned as ever getting his own story. That alone shot this up from a 4 star loved it novella to a 5 star perfect novella.

As for Chris HEA I enjoyed every moment of it especially since I got the whole gang from the Edge Of Honor series in it. Loved how it started off with Yummy Chris jumping into the lake and being surrounded by the gang in one of their many gatherings they love to have at Dare’s Lake House. The first part was great as it played just enough catch up on what everyone was up to and how they all became a part of Chris’s life. It was so much like reading her other novels with the loving ladies meddling in ones affair only because they know what is right and they new Chris and Matt were made for each other. Her Edge Of Honor series makes me want to be part of this family even though they are not per say all related. To my surprise I did not see a few things coming like with Dare and Trace doing something they usually do not do. Can not really say what it is. Do not want to ruin it for you all but just know I fell in love more with Dare and Trace! It made me want to reread their books like now.

I was curious on how Lori Foster was going to do M/M relationship. It was not what I expected, to be honest I was really hoping she would give some M/M action. Sorry fans did not happen for Chris and Matt but it still had me smiling. Really the two kiss scenes were very quick and did wish for at least more in depth with feeling. It worked for me because the first moment Matt and Chris were together (not in a sexual way) I already fell in love with them as a couple and could not swipe my Kindle fast enough to see if Chris was going to get his head out his bottom and realize he deserves to have someone in his life just like everyone else in the Edge Of Honor Series does. Lori still was able to give her fans her typical loving, sweet, alpha male hero.

Love the sexy cover with Chris wearing dogtags. Another to my surprise finding out where he got those dogtags. Sweet moment that put a smile on my face a mile long.

I did wish Chris had a longer novella (ok that is me just wanting more greedy time on Chirs) but am very thankful Lori Foster took the time to write What Chris Wants for her fans and ending The Edge Of Honor series with him. Highly recommend reading this series from the beginning to get a good idea on what Chris is like and the rest of the main characters. It is a series and author not to be missed.

Review:
Loved It

Lori Foster is one of my all time favorite authors. I was extremely happy she had a new series coming out. Run The Risk is book #1 in Love Undercover series and is a bit different than her other series, but just as good. It reminded me more of her Men Who Walk The Edge Of Honor series. As always she never disappoints in starting a new series with some sexy alpha male heroes who get your heart pounding. The plot is great with some surprises that you will not be able to turn your e-reader fast enough.

Logan the hero is the alpha male hero who you will dislike in the beginning, because he will do what ever it takes to get justice towards the man who killed his friend. Rowdy who witness his friends murder is out there and Logan needs him to answer questions about the night his friend was murder. In order to find Rowdy he goes undercover and gets close to Rowdy sister Pepper. What Logan was not expecting was to be attracted to Pepper. He does make up for his actions from the beginning, turning out to be a sexy, sweet, caring and loveable character.

Run The Risk starts off a little slow but still held my interest with Logan and Pepper. Up till about 40% of the book it is Logan being undercover and slowly falling for Pepper. She is a mystery to him that he can not figure out. After she finds out that he is a cop and is using her to get to her brother, is when things really start happening. Wow, never saw a lot of stuff coming. Lori Foster amazed me with the twist and turns in Run The Risk.

I loved Pepper’s character and how she did make Logan grovel enough once she found out about him being undercover. It took her time to forgive him but in the process of him being undercover she was also attracted to him and she has some secrets too. The relationship with her brother is sweet and love their moments together. Once I found out about their upbringing everything they do for each other makes sense and got me teary eyed.

Lori Foster does an amazing job with the secondary characters. Rowdy, Dash and Reese all play a big role in Run The Risk and never take away from Logan’s and Pepper story. Rowdy I adore his love and protectiveness of his sister. I am curious to know when he gets his own story if it will be with the waitress from the club.

Who I am anxious to read about is Reese and Alice. Oh My goodness Reese is sexy, sweet and adorable with his dog Cash. I love how the dog found him and he named him Cash instead of Debt. The reason for the name of his dog is funny and cute. How Cash found him is sad. I love it when he first meets Alice she will not give him the time of day or even smile. The minute she see’s Cash she is smiling, giving attention to him and this has Reese boggled. He knows she is hiding something and it is bugging him. There was just enough of them together you can not help but know they will get their own story and look forward to more of what she is hiding and get more goods on Reese.

Dash is Logan’s brother who is a fun character. He and Logan own a cabin on a lake that they want to be able to go to and just relax. They keep everything on the outside natural so it does not end up being a chore, more of a place where they can relax and go fishing. The friendship brewing between Dash and Pepper is sweet and fun, she even has him pulling weeds at the cabin. I hope in the future books we get more of the cabin and at one point see if Dash will plant wild flowers around it. Lori Foster has a talent for writing beautiful scenery. The time spent at the cabin I felt like I was right there enjoying the lake view.

Ending is perfect. All Lori Fosters book have beautiful endings that you are happy to see the main couple get their HEA, but she did one better and gave me something to look forward to in book 2.

I highly recommend Run The Risk for not only Romantic Suspense fans but also Contemporary fans. It is a good mixture of romance and suspense. One never over powers the other. Love the sexy covers and can not wait to see the new cover for the next book to show off on my blog. I look forward to reading the rest of this series and can not wait to see what path the characters take from Run The Risk.

A Perfect Storm (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor #4)
by Lori Foster
Purchase Links: AmazonBarnes & Noble

Goodreads

Blurb:

He never saw her coming…

Spencer Lark already knows too many secrets about Arizona Storm, including the nightmare she survived and her resulting trust issues. But in order to expose a smuggling ring—and continue avenging his own tragic past—the bounty hunter reluctantly agrees to make Arizona a decoy. Yet nothing has equipped him for her hypnotic blend of fragility and bravery, or for the protective instincts she stirs in him.

Arizona wants to reclaim her life, which means acting as bait to lure the enemy into a trap. Sure it's dangerous, especially with a partner as distractingly appealing as Spencer. But as their plan—and their chemistry—shifts into high gear, Arizona may discover there's an even greater risk in surrendering her heart to a hero…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why:
Arizona has had something bad happen to her that has her not able to enjoy love making like she use to to. I loved how Spencer never pushed her and let her go at her own pace during their time together. When they are together they heat up the pages.
"You'll enjoy this, I promise. Not as much as I will, but still..." He nudged her legs open wider, then looked up at her. "Lean back on the wall for support, then bend your knees a little."
She hesitated-and finally did as he asked,  Stepping her feet apart, flexing her knees.
Heat washed over him. "That's it." He opened her with his fingertips, teasing more, stroking over-into-slick, hot places, before leaning forward for the most intimate of kisses.
Her long, vibrating moan turned him on as much as her taste.
Licking his tongue over her, in her, he gave them both what they wanted. She grew wetter, her breathing more ragged. He teased her clitoris and heard her loud grasp.
Cupping her hips to help support her, he kept her upright and slowly drew her in, rasped his tongue over her, sucked.
Lori Foster knows how to write the best tasteful foreplay.  A Perfect Storm is a great addition to Men Who Walk The Edge Of Honor series.  This series is must read for all fans who love heroes with alpha male attitude but also loving and sweet.
Too Much Temptation (Brava Borthers Series #1)
by Lori Foster
Goodreads
Blurb:
Virginal and voluptuous, Grace Jenkins has secretly loved and lusted after handsome Noah Harper for three years but he was engaged and, therefore, off-limits. Then Noah walks in on his bride-to-be with another man and abruptly breaks off the engagement, refusing to explain the reason for the canceled wedding to his family. His grandmother and his fiancée's family are outraged. Grace rushes to defend him and is stunned when Noah responds by taking her straight to bed. She thinks this is only mutual lust and decides to enjoy the excitement for as long as it lasts while Noah quickly discovers that what he feels for Grace is much more complicated than simple lust. But convincing Grace is another matter entirely--she refuses to see herself as a permanent part of his life. Meanwhile, Noah's ex-fiancée is stirring up trouble with his autocratic grandmother and before she's done, Noah will have to reevaluate his relationship with his grandmother, Grace will have a whole new self-image, and both will face major upheaval in their careers and personal lives.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Why:

Noah is deliciously wicked. He is a yummy Alpha Male who has know Grace for a awhile and loves her for who she is., Sweet and inncoent.  Who wouldn't love breakfast sex?

"Up on the table, Grace." He didn't wait for her to comply. He hefted her up onto the edge of the tabletop so that she sat facing him while he remained in the chair. "Open your legs wide. Here brace yourself with your hands behind you and put your feet next to my shoulders, on the back of the chair."

He positioned her just as he wanted her, her thighs alongside his shoulders, leaving her open to him.  His heart rapped hard as he gently eased her back on her elbows for better balance. He literally sat between her widespread thighs. She was a feast, laid out for him and his voracious appetite.

"I want you to watch me, Grace," he told her when he noticed she stared up at the ceiling. "Keep those big eyes of yours on my face. Or," he added as he brushed his fingers through her curls, "on my hands where I touch you."

Nodding, she whispered, "Okay."

Noah smiled. He used the fingertips of both hands to carefully part her outer lips. "Look at how pink you are, Grace." He felt her slight flinch and glanced at her face with concern. "Are you sore?"

She spoke on a nearly silent breath of  sound. "No."

As Noah moved his fingers carefully over her, pulling her farther open, examining her up close, her whole body shuddered.

"Then this doesn't hurt? He worked his first and middle fingers deep into her.

She gasped and her head fell back.

"Look, Grace."

Her throat moved as she swallowed, but she brought her attention back to his hands.

He continued to stroke, long and easy and deep. The sight of his dark, rough fingers pushing into her was erotic. "You look so tender, I don't want to hurt you."

"You're...you're not hurting me," Grace rasped.

Noah watched her clitoris swell but he didn't touch her there, not yet. She was already wet, her whole body flushed, her thighs shivering. This close she smelled like the soap and lotion she'd used after her bath.

She also smelled of womanly excitement.

Noah took her by suprise, saying, "Which feels better, Grace? My fingers-or my tongue?"

And he bent to lick her.

by Lori Foster

Goodreads

Blurb:
Virginal and voluptuous, Grace Jenkins has secretly loved and lusted after handsome Noah Harper for three years but he was engaged and, therefore, off-limits. Then Noah walks in on his bride-to-be with another man and abruptly breaks off the engagement, refusing to explain the reason for the canceled wedding to his family. His grandmother and his fiancée's family are outraged. Grace rushes to defend him and is stunned when Noah responds by taking her straight to bed. She thinks this is only mutual lust and decides to enjoy the excitement for as long as it lasts while Noah quickly discovers that what he feels for Grace is much more complicated than simple lust. But convincing Grace is another matter entirely--she refuses to see herself as a permanent part of his life. Meanwhile, Noah's ex-fiancée is stirring up trouble with his autocratic grandmother and before she's done, Noah will have to reevaluate his relationship with his grandmother, Grace will have a whole new self-image, and both will face major upheaval in their careers and personal lives.
