2013 New Adult Reading Challenge

Ok Lovelies I am starting my first Reading Challenge. I thought since I am a new comer in the New Adult genre I would do this.  I do need some lovely help from my bloggers BFF with some ideas on what are good NA. I did come across some I thought I would like below. I would still love some other good ones. Since I am new to this genre some I was not sure if considered NA like is Bared To You,  Fifty Shades Of Grey, Gabriel's Inferno and Love Unscripted New Adult?

2013 New Adult Reading Challenge Hosts. A Tapestry Of Words,   Confessions of a Twenty Something Fiction Writer ,  Tater's Tall Tails, and Basia's Bookshelf.

Here are the rules to the challenge:

  • The book must feature a protagonist who is past the average age for graduation from high school (18 in most places) and under 30. If they’re exactly 18, you can make the judgment call based on content. (If the majority of it is set in high school, it’s probably YA.)
  • The books don't have to be contemporaries! Fantasy, dystopian and paranormal work just fine as long as the characters fall into the comparative age group.
  • You don't have to have a blog to participate but you must post your reviews somewhere online (sites like Goodreads work).

The Levels:

  • Just Graduated: read a minimum of 5 New Adult books
  • Moving Out: read a minimum of 10 New Adult books
  • Living On Your Own: read a minimum of 20 New Adult books
  • Fully Independent: read a minimum of 30 New Adult books

I am doing Living On Your Own: read a minimum of 20 New Adult books .  Please help lovelies I want I to move up to being Fully Independent: read a minimum of 30 New Adult books. I Just need 10 more books! I Like Paranormal and Contemporary. I really like a tortured hero and a intense, emotional read. If the hero has a sexy Alpha Male attitude like Rush in Fallen Too Far even better! I want the book to suck me in where I can not swipe my kindle fast enough.

  1. I haven't read any NA yet, but I'm anxious to try more than a few! Especially some on your list...Let me know what you think of them, and if you enjoyed them, I'll have to break down and add another book to my neverending TBR pile this year. :D Not that I'm complaining too much. More books = good thing. Less space, however, is the only problem.... LOL

    Enjoy!

  2. I haven't read NA yet. I'm just not really feeling it though. All the blurb sounds so depressing, and they all end up sounding the same afterwards. Girl meets boy. They're somehow wrong for one another. Someone's life is in ruins and the only constant thing is the other person. But I do have one or two I want to read, just need to find the time. It's hard to motivate myself to read something depressing/emotional/heart-breaking after coming back from a 12-hour workday.

    1. I just got into New Adult and read some that I was not feeling not really a plot. I think that is why I need the intense, emtional read with a tortured hero.
