Warning: This isn’t a romance, but instead a tale of love between two despairing people, from two different worlds, both aching for something more.

Debbie Reynolds is a runaway, New York City-bound. Living on the road comes with many challenges—fighting for her next meal, seeking safe places to sleep, and dodging men with less than honorable intentions, all while searching for meaning in a life she finds painful and pointless.

Damon “Preacher” Fox, vice president of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club, has been in prison for club-related crimes. As his release draws near, he begins to reevaluate his choices in life, realizing that if he stays with the club, this won’t be his last stint behind bars. Suddenly Preacher finds himself doubting everything he’s ever known, wishing for a life beyond the club.

When Preacher and Debbie’s paths cross, they find in each other a sense of peace they had been lacking. But life is about to catch up with Preacher, and Debbie, desperate to keep the one person who’s ever shown her any kindness, finds herself caught between forces far deadlier and more powerful than she could have ever imagined.

This is Debbie and Preacher’s story.

At the end, we should all go back to the beginning,
if only to remind ourselves that we once lived.

Rating: 5 Stars - Amazing

Thoughts: After the teaser readers got of  ZZ from Unbeloved (Undeniable #4) I was really hoping book 5 was going to be his story. But since the story had taken a different direction I understood the need to tell Preacher story first. Wow what a story he had to share. I was not prepared to have my heart broken. The feels were all over the place as I shed a few tears, wanted to strangle a few characters and had a few smiles.

Never really new a whole lot about Preacher. Only that he is the hard ass President of Silver Demons MC and loving father to Eva. Loved how Preacher story was told from him with present and past. I was right there with him experiencing his life.

Loved meeting new characters. Really not new characters but more characters that have been connected to Preacher and this series. I now have an understanding why Frankie Jr. turned out the way he did.

I know this is Preacher story but Deuce and Eva started the Undeniable series with Undeniable and have been a big part of the series and big part of his book. Loved this couple then and loved them more through out. Deuce might be rough around the edges especially in earlier books and made some mistakes. They have had their ups and downs like real life couples do. Loved seeing him stand by his wife and the support he gives her had me swooning.

"It ain’t gonna be easy," he continued, "But I know you, Eva, and you’re gonna be just fine. You know how I know?"

I looked up to find his eyes on me. "How?"

A corner of his mouth lifted. "Cause I’m gonna make damn sure of it."

Undeserving was unpredictable and had me on the edge of my seat. One thing I love about this series is I never know what I am in for. Preacher story was thoroughly thought out and as reader I am thankful for that. Well done Madeline Sheehan. The twisted, raw and gritty feel I got from Underserving brought back memories from the earlier books in the series. Strong secondary characters play a good roll through out the series. I find them best to be read in order.

ZZ sneak peak has me nervous and more excited for his story. Nervous for ZZ as he already has caused crazy chaos.  Excited for when a certain character(s) finds out what ZZ has done. Lets just say it is not going to go well. Yes I am twisted as I want the raw, gritty feel with ZZ story.

Review: Unbeloved by Madeline Sheehan

I reviewed this back in 2015 on goodreads but for some reason could not find on my blog. I have no idea what happened to it or if I never got around to posting here.

Update: LOL just found my review it was in drafts. Silly me never posted here but did on Goodreads. What was I thinking I usually post first here then Goodreads.

Dorothy Kelley is a born romantic, searching for her prince. Instead she finds herself pregnant at fifteen, and in a loveless marriage by the tender age of eighteen.

Then hope comes riding into her life on a motorcycle and within weeks, Jason “Jase” Brady, a member of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club, sweeps Dorothy off her feet.

But nothing is ever simple for Dorothy. Jase is married with children. And as Dorothy patiently waits for Jase to give her the happily-ever-after she’s been dreaming about, James “Hawk” Young, a member of the Hell’s Horsemen with secrets of his own, sees an opening into Dorothy’s life and takes it.

Carrying on two secret affairs is no easy feat. As Dorothy tries to dig herself out of the mess she’s created, covering one mistake with another, tragedy strikes, nearly costing Dorothy her life and that of her unborn son.

What follows is a long and painful journey of self-discovery and forgiveness, as Dorothy comes to realize that home was exactly where she’d left it, and the love she’d forever craved had always been within her reach.

This is the story of Dorothy, Jase, and Hawk.

We are all born pure; it is our journey that burdens us and leads us astray. Our mistakes that beat us down and cover us in guilt and shame, burying us a little more with each passing hardship. It is up to us to dig ourselves out, to come to terms with our faults, to embrace not only our imperfections but those of the ones we love, and to once again find the path we strayed from.

Warning: This is not a conventional or predictable love story. It involves one woman and two men bound by a love so destructive it spans two decades, pitting brother against brother, and shattering the lives of those touched by it.

Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It

Thoughts: I was looking forward to how Dorothy, Jase, and Hawk story played out especially after Unattainable (Undeniable #3). Sad to say I wanted more from their story. Started out strong, middle a tad boring and ended amazing.

Unbeloved is not only Dorothy's journey in finding forgiveness and self-discovery. It is also about the outcome of Hawke and Jase actions and leading to redemption. Now her journey did bore me at times. I really wanted to feel for her as she had to go through many hard obstacles to find her man. Hawke I loved his backstory as it was interesting and plays a big roll in the story.

I was thankful for the flashbacks with Dorothy, Jase and Hawke's relationship. But I really needed more. I felt their story was being told to me and not enough showing. I had no problems with their story being in the present, I really needed more shown on their past to really get the connection with each other. I wanted to see the jealousy, the sneaking around and the heartaches. Their story lacked angst and for all that they have been through it really should of been there. I wanted more Hawke and Jase at each others throat especially since they were in love with the same woman.

I was a little surprised that Preacher story is next and not ZZ. Was a little bummed readers are getting his story first but I get it now. I really wanted his scene played out and not told. I definitely want his book now in Undeserving (Undeniable #5).

Unbeloved was missing the raw, gritty, dark, emotional feel readers have come to love in the Undeniable series. It is tame, less steamy and I was fine with that. I loved that it was different than the other novels. At times a series can get old when it has the same formula and feel to it. I have stopped reading series because of the this. Some times raw, dark and gritty does not fit the characters or the story and in this case it would of not worked. But the emotional roller coaster should of been there and it was not.

ZZ alone gets a 5 star. Loved that I am only getting teasers of him. Once again I am screaming at my kindle "No.. ZZ what have you done!". Can not believe Madeline Sheehan went there. It is twisted and I love it. Once again Madeline Sheehan is brilliant. If you are a fan of ZZ and read all his fucked up actions well lovelies this has got to be the worst of them yet. His jaw dropping moment stayed with me for days. Shit's about to get real and I hope it is coming Madeline Sheehan style. Raw, gritty, dark and all kinds of fucked up.

Review: UnAttainable by Madeline Sheehan

Unattainable (Undeniable #3)
by Madeline Sheehan

Warning: This is not a virtuous and tender love story. It’s chaotic, ruthless, and tragic. This story takes love and kills its innocence, steals away the pure moments, and crushes the hearts of the broken. A story born in childhood, tying one girl to one boy, leads to a destructive path—that hurts more than it doesn’t, that shatters more than it heals—testing the love that binds the two through a lifetime.

Tegen Matthews is the daughter of Dorothy Kelley, a club whore in the Hell’s Horsemen. A plain little girl, Tegen falls into the gritty world of the motorcycle club. When she meets a sweet, caring boy, she embraces the warmth and affection he shows her. Cage West is the son of the president of the Hell’s Horsemen. Tall and blond with deep brown eyes, as he grows up Cage realizes the power of his dimpled smile and smooth drawl. With one chance encounter, Tegen becomes forever tied to Cage. Following is a wayward journey that is filled with regrets, mistakes, and heartache, pulling at the threads that hold them together. Cage and Tegen fight hard but love harder, and in the end, what matters is where the journey takes one girl and one boy, who have been twined with one another since the beginning.

This is Tegen and Cage’s story.

Love doesn’t erase a broken heart, and it sure doesn’t change people. But no matter how old, how flimsy, how frayed the rope of love is, it keeps you tethered to the people you love.

I could not wait to dive into Cage and Tegan story but to be honest their story really did not do it for me till ZZ was a part of it. After awhile Tegan started to get on my nerves. She has a lot of anger towards Cage and I get it but she did need to take it down a notch at times. There was a lot of Angst between them but felt like all they did is fight, have steamy-cold-shower-sex. But towards the end I get that is what their relationship is like.

Who would of guessed the side story of Michael "Dirty" and Ellie stole the show.
Never really gave Dirty a second thought in earlier novels. After all, he does not think twice about hygiene and that is how he got his name "Dirty".  In earlier novels he is dark and twisted. Finding out about his past and what makes him the way he is now with layers slowly peeling away in Unattainable was well done. Totally fell in love with his character and his scenes at time were brutal and some even broke my heart. At the beginning I was not sure where their story was going. I could not swipe my Kindle fast enough to see if they will get their HEA. I do hope they get their own story and will not always be a side story like how Kami and Cox were in Undeniable #1. I feel like there is so much more to their story.

Perfect set up for Hawk, Dorothy and Jase book next up in UnBeloved (Undeniable #4). Look forward to see how their story plays out.

ZZ and Dirty saved UnAttainable for me from a 3 star - Liked It novel to a 4 stars - Loved it. Now as for ZZ....Wow did not see that one coming with his action. No.. ZZ what have you done! I am curious how Madeline Sheehan is going to pull off his story. I am so excited his story is not too far away in Undying (Undeniable #5).  I am sure it is going to be a hit after all Madeline Sheehan is an amazing author that was able to turn a Never-thought-of-twice character Michael "Dirty" into a crushing character. Brilliant Madeline...just freakin brilliant.

Review: Unbeautifully by Madeline Sheehan

Unbeautifully (Undeniable #2)

Warning: This is not a story about fate or destiny. This is a story about pain, sorrow, and suffering. This is an impulsive whirlwind romance between two lovers that are not meant to be together. Theirs is not a world with sunshine and roses. Instead, their love blossoms in a secret world full of crime, violence, and death. Their story is about what can be born from nightmares.

Danielle “Danny” West is the daughter of Deuce West, President of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. A sweet and beautiful girl, she loses her way, searching for things that are always out of her reach. Erik “Ripper” Jacobs is the Sergeant of Arms in the Hell’s Horsemen. Once a man who always had a smile on his face, his life takes a turn for the worst when a tragedy befalls him, leaving him scarred and broken. During a midsummer night, Danny and Ripper’s paths cross, forever changing their lives. Hastily, their lust turns to love until another tragedy forces them apart. On a journey that is marred with ugliness and chaos, Danny and Ripper must discover if their unforeseen connection can find the beauty in their world.

This is Danny and Ripper’s story.

Everything has beauty. Even the ugly. Especially the ugly.
Because without ugly, there would be no beauty.

Madeline Sheehan has done it again with another intense, emotional roller coaster novel and darker in Unbeautifully that had my stomach in knots. Be prepared to have some tissue aside for Unbeautfiully.

Not only has the after affect from Frankie (from Undeniable) left Ripper physically and mentally scarred but also left a huge affect on Danny and a much bigger affect on Eva and Deuce. Loved how we get to see how the incident with Frankie in Undeniable tore apart Eva and Deuce’s relationship and how they were able to re-patch their relationship. We get inside their heads and feel what they are feeling. There were times I wanted to bonk Deuce over the head for some of his actions. He was hurting and there were things he did that I for sure thought I was going to dislike him but then it turned out OK.

Since Ripper was tortured by Frankie he is dark, broken, with a chip on his shoulder and feels nothing until his one night with Danny. Now he is starting to feel things he thought he had buried deep down inside. She makes him feel whole again. The back flashes when he was being tortured broke my heart. They are very descriptive that at times did have to take a minute to recoup. Loved Ripper’s character right down to his sexy tattoos, dirty talking mouth, possessive, jealous, over protective, alpha male attitude. He believes Danny is beautiful, innocent and deserves better than a life of the MC.

Growing up with the MC that is only what Danny knows. She sees the beautiful inside Ripper and since their one night together that is all she can think about is him. Since the incident with Frankie left her dad (Deuce) emotionally and physically absent and now he is back in her life playing the father role but is broken and sad she hates him for it. Loved her character right down to her snippy attitude and loved that she can hold her own with ripper.

Loved Danny and Ripper together. The are perfect for each other in their own way. I think they connect because they can relate to each other because they were both affected by Frankie’s wrong doing in Undeniable. Their journey to happiness is sexy with some serious steam factor, serious bumps in their relationship that at times was not sure if they would get over some things.

Unbeautifully is another great read in the Undeniable series. Even though this series is dark, twisted, not faint for the heart. When in the mood for this type, I could seriously read these novels again and again with well written characters that are so real they jump off the pages that you feel what they are feeling. I can not wait for Cage and Tegen story in Unattainable (Undeniable #3).

Review: Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan

Undeniable (Undeniable #1)

Warning: This is not a typical love story. This is an all-consuming, soul-crushing, tear-your-heart-into-pieces story. It’s intense, gritty and raw, dark and disturbing, and it doesn’t happen overnight. This is an epic love story that knows no boundaries and has no time limits. It grows and develops—with hurt, sacrifice, and heartache—over the span of a lifetime.

Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with bikers in the club lifestyle is all that she knows. When she’s a young girl, Eva meets the reason for her existence. Deuce West is the sexy, biker bad-ass of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club—but that’s where the similarities end. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart. Eva sees in Deuce what he cannot see in himself—a man worthy of love—and Eva spends her lifetime proving to him that her undeniable love is the one thing he can’t live without.

This is Eva and Deuce’s story.

It wasn’t easy.
Nothing worth doing ever is.
And love is worth everything.

I knew going into Undeniable that it was not going to be your everyday-happy-sweet-love story, it was going to be an emotional roller coaster with a hero/heroine that are damaged and rough around the edges. I wanted Undeniable to be a novel that pushes the limit and intense. I am sure that makes me twisted but I have read many novels that the synopsis makes a novel seem like it would be an intense read and then when I read them not even close. I need to feel what the characters are feeling especially when the hero/heroine are portray has damaged etc. Kudo’s to Madeline Sheehan for giving me what I wanted in Undeniable, well written, intense, emotional roller coaster novel that broke my heart on so many levels.

Undeniable is one of those novels you are either going to love it or hate it. For me I loved it with tattoo biker babes that kind of remind me of Sons Of Anarchy TV show. Undeniable takes place over years of when Eva, the daughter of the President of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club and Deuce, 18 years older than her sexy biker babe of Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club meet. Eva has loved Deuce for him and nothing more. Deuce has loved Eva for that. What I loved most about Undeniable it is unpredictable. I loved the journey with Eva, Deuce and all the secondary characters (some more messed up than others).

Even though Undeniable is gut wrenching it is a keeper for me to re-read when I am in a mood for a good twisted novel. Madeline Sheehan is a new author for me and love her writing style and can not wait for Unbeautifully (Undeniable #2).
