Why:

I am lusting..panting..drooling...ready to have a freakin heart attack over this cover. I love reading books with hot sexy heroes on the cover. It makes for a nice visual when you are reading them. Especially when the hero matches the cover model to a "T" and it is always a bonus when you love the book. I have only read one book by Nikki Duncan and loved it. I will definitely be reading more from her. She does have some yummy covers.  I do enjoy small town crushes. This one sounds fun.

Why:

OMG Loved this book.  It is a beautiful read with a yummy Hero. Ian is wickedly delicious. I could  not stop thinking about him after I finished reading.

He is arrogant with humor:

"Yelling is not necessary." Cabrera turned his chair toward her.

"You son of a bitch."

"Most women use flattery or charm when trying to get something from a  man." He kicked back with his hands linked behind his head as if he didn't have a care in the world. "How's your approach been working out"?

He can multi-task: (Yummy scene in a restaurant)

"Keep your mind on the investigation, Ian."

"I can multi-task." He nuzzled into her neck, his lips smiling against her skin. "You're aroused."

"What? She jerked, but he held her firm against him.

"Pheromones." He slid the tip of his tongue across the pulse point beneath her ear. "Lilacs. Your normal scent, sort of  flowery, becomes intoxicating when it's mixed with the musky aroma of your desire."

He is a delicious lover:

"I will undress you." He kissed a path from her collar bone down to the valley between her breasts. "I'm going to taste you while I do it."

He cupped her breasts. Tweaked her nipples through her bra and smiled when they puckered and hardened. " I do love lace. The sheer thought of the soft coarseness of the fabric sliding against the creamy smoothness of your skin is arousing. Feeling it for myself is an unimaginable pleasure."

Why:

One word. HOT! This book was a recommend read to me by Barnes & Nobles based of my last purchase. Honestly I did check out this book because of the cover. I ended up checking out more books from Nikki Duncan and purchased Sounds to Die By (Sensory Ops series #1). So far I am loving it. I read the Excerpt  for  Criminal Promises and caught my attention. So I will be reading this next.  Nikki Mentioned on her blog that her cover model was exactly how she pitured BD Harte. Nice now I will have a sweet visusal of BD when I read it. Love it when  authors tell us who the cover models are.
