Feature & Follow: Book Boyfriends

Top 5 Favorite Book Boyfriends

Most of my heroes I love are alpha males who are known to be broody, pushy but also have a gentle side to them. I love a hero that loves hard not only for his lover but family too.

1. My first book boyfriend has to be Rain Tairen Soul from Lord Of The Fading Lands (Tairen Soul #1). Have yet to read a hero like him. His character is intriguing. He is also my top Alpha Male hero. It is in his nature to be dominate, serious, and he is not known for patience. But readers get to gradually see his patient, playful and gentle side. His patient towards Ellie is breathtaking beautiful and sweet. What I love more is Ellie's happiness is what he wants most. Especially when it comes to her family. His devotion to Ellie is impressive.

Favorite Quote:
“I am not a good man, shei'tani," he corrected. "I never have been. But for you I will strive to be better.”

2.  Tease by Geri Glenn is a broody, trust no one with an alpha male attitude.  What makes Tease on my book boyfriend list is his badass, gentle side when it comes to Laynie. He not only thinks she is beautiful but loves her personality. He loves that she does not let her blindness affect her, lives in the moment and enjoys life. The best part for me is his  actions when they are in certain situations. It is little things that a hero can do with out words and actions only that will make me crush on the hero more.  I loved that troughout the novel it was his actions of just grabbing her hand or putting her hand on the lower part of his back to help guide her. My quote is not one of those times because he is not one for patience.

Quote:
Grasping my hand in his own, he places it on his hip. Suprised and confused, I yank it away. "Babe. We gotta move. Hook onto my belt loop."

"What?" What's going on?

"Your dog is hurt. We need to get him to a vet. To do that, we gotta move. Now hold onto my fuckin' belt."

3. Of course I have to have a Tessa Bailey alpha male, dirty talking hero on my book boyfriend list. Brent from Asking For Trouble made my list. Brent shows the world his loud abrasive personality. Really he is a caring brother and son who takes cares of his family. He likes to feel needed by people he cares about. He is not one to really let his lovers take control in the bedroom department but he does for Hayden. He just lets her have enough control to scratch her bad girl itch. Now in my eyes that is a true man who is 100% devoted to his lover. He is also fun. Loved that this was an opposite attract trope that left for some fun banter through out the novel.

Quote:
"You're testing my patience here, duchess," he growled. "If you have any doubt about my ability to fuck the ever-loving sarcasm right out of you, I'll be more than happy to clear it up."

4. Have to have Rush from Fallen Too Far. This is one of those books I was just going to read a few chapters and see how Abbi Glines writing was. Bad move LOL as I Added it to goodreads, bought it and read it ASAP. He is a jerk but gradually see the caring and sweet side to him. What makes me love him more is he goes to great lengths to protect his crazy sister Nan. Even though I do hate how some of the outcome breaks my heart concerning Blaire. I understand he has always been over protective of his sister. So I would not of expected him to stop at once. Made his character more real.

5. Of course Daemon from Obsidian made my list. He was a jerk in the beginning. But grew to love him as he is what I love in a hero, swoon worthy, arrogant, overconfident, protective, loving and sweet. Boy is he a smart mouth.  Their bickering moments are fun and never boring.

Quote:
“Stalking me again, I see. Do I need to get a restraining order?”

“In you dreams, Kitten.” He smirked. “Oh wait, I’m already starring in those, aren’t I?”

“Nightmares, Daemon, Nightmares.”

Feature Follow # 143

Q:  Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate — ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?

A: I do not think I ever read a novel I thought I would hate but read some novels I was not sure how I was going to feel about.

Provoked (Dark Protectors #5)
Paranormal Romance (Adult)

Rating: 5 Stars - Perfect

What I love about Dark Protectors series by Rebecca Zanetti is that her secondary characters all play a big roll in the plot (never taking away from the hero/heroine story) and you get a feel of the characters and usually pairing them off with a mate you know they will get their own story.  I was not sure how I was going to like Kane in Provoked because he is more in the lab and at times fight against bad guys but earlier novels were more of the other brothers. I was sure I was not going to hate his story just thought I would either like it or love it. I ended up freakin loving his story and his character. Provoked was another 5 star novel in Dark Protector series.

Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood #6)
Paranormal Romance (Adult)

It has been a while since I read BDB series. I remember reading them back to back and Lover Enshrined was my last read in this series. I know it has been awhile but I was not a huge fan of Phury. Nothing bad just his character did nothing for me. I was sure I was not really going to like his story and I did not. I do not think I hated it just thought it was the weakest of the BDB series. I think that the story fits his character but with all the other yummy Black Dagger heroes his was taken down a notch for me. I hope to some day soon start this series from the beginning since I am so behind and would love to see if I would find his novel any different in my liking.

Full Blooded (Jessica McClain #1)
Urban Fantasy (Adult)

Rating 4 stars - Loved It

Been awhile since I have read Urban Fantasy and was not sure since I have never read anything by Amanda Carlson how I would like her writing style and if I still enjoy Urban Fantasy.  Loved Amanda Carlson writing voice and was happy I still enjoy Urban Fantasy. Been ages and was happy that I picked Jessica MaCain series, now I look forward to getting my Rourke fix in Hot Blooded #2.

Walking Disaster
New Adult

Rating 3 stars - Liked It

I do not where I stand with Beautiful Disaster. Lets just say 3 stars liked it. It has been awhile since I read it. Loved the plot idea but was not always feeling the characters especially Travis. So I could not wait for Travis's POV in Walking Disaster but was not sure how I was going to feel about it. I really wanted to get inside Travis's head but for me was not always feeling his anger etc. I did  not hate or loved his novel I ended up liking it 3 stars.  I felt like I only got in his a little bit. I wanted it to be intense and feel his pain and anger more.

Q: Tell us about the most emotional scene you’ve ever read in a book – and how did you react?

Okay lovelies I can list many and wow it is hard to pick just one, but I will list as of my lastet 3 favorite most emotional scenes in Adult, New Adult and Young Adult.  I can not give exactly what happens away because it will spoil the novel.  These are must read novels.

Answer:

Adult/New Adult
4 stars
Review coming tonight or Sat.

There is a scene towards the end with Ellie and Javier that was a huge suprise I never saw coming and broke my heart. My heart is still broken. Since I believe it is not 100% confirmed or solved I am hoping it was one of those things that everything is not what it seems to be.
New Adult
5 Stars
Review

There are many scenes that broke my heart in Fallen Too Far. When I found out what the secret was that every one knew about Rush and his Sister. I was totally shocked. Never thought it was what it was.

Young Adult
5 Stars

Loved the graveyard scene with Shadow and Samantha. OMG what Shadow did for Samantha was the sweetest thing. I had happy and sad tears. It was a sweet moment but because of what it was about it was also a sad moment. Loved it even more as I never saw it coming.

Q: What is a book you didn’t like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn’t popular?

A: Ok I really do not have either of these. But I did have higher expectations for On Dublin Street by Samantha Young. Many friends on Goodreads and blogger had amazing, high rated reviews but for me I just liked it 3 stars. It is not a bad thing as I did like it (after about 40% was when I started connecting with the characters) but I was hoping to love it where I could not put it down or wait for book 2.

Feature Follow: Favorite Villain

The Feature & Follow is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow!
Q: Who is your favorite villain from a book?

A:  Reseph/Pestilence from Rogue Rider (Lords of Deliverance #4). He got pretty twisted with Cara in Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance #1). I am on Thanatos, Lethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance #3) look forward to see how he is.

A: My other favorite  villainn as of now is Kalin from The Dark Protectors series by Rebecca Zanetti.  He has been a sick and twisted villain since he was young. Getting worse the older he gets. He is really growing on me the more new books come out. He can not help being a little crazy in the head, that is the way his people are.  Sometimes I feel like he is just itching to be good or wants to be good. Janie is the one who brings this side of him out.  With each new novel  Janie, Zane and Kalin are getting older and their relationship is getting good and seems to be turning into a weird love/hate triangle. So many awesome surprises with them. What makes it good is that Janie and Kalin parents are enemies. Zane is still a mystery. I am Team Zane!

Love to hear who your Favorite Villian is.

Motorcycle Man (Dream Man #4)
by Kristen Ashley
Purchase Link: Amazon

Blurb:
Stuck in a colorless world, Tyra Masters decides to chuck her old life and starts searching for something. She doesn’t know what it is until she meets her dream man. The goateed, tattooed, muscled, gravelly voiced motorcycle man who plies her with tequila and gives her the best sex of her life. But she knows it isn’t the tequila and sex talking. He’s it. He’s who she’s been daydreaming about since she could remember.

Until he makes it clear she isn’t who he’s looking for.

Tyra slinks away from his bed, humiliated. The problem is, he’s her new boss. She just may or may not have forgotten to tell him that part.

Kane “Tack” Allen has a rule. He doesn’t employ someone he’s slept with. And he lets Tyra know that in his motorcycle man way. Tyra fights for her job and wins it using sass and a technicality. Tack challenges her that if she hits his bed one more time, she loses her job.

Tyra is determined to keep her job and keep away from Tack. But she makes a big mistake. During their head-to-heads, she lets it all hang out and shows Tack she is who he’s looking for. And Tack has had a good woman slip through his fingers, he’s not about to let that happen again.

Although Tack colors Tyra’s world with a vibrancy that’s blinding, being with him means she has to live in his Motorcycle Club world. Full on, no holds barred. And since Tack’s world, not to mention Tack, is a little scary, Tyra isn’t so sure.

It's Tack's job to convince her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the last book in Kristen Ashley Dream Man series. I am happy she had Tack as the last one. He has been in the books since the first one. Loving his book as all her Heroes are sexy, In Your Face Alpha but can also be gentle, caring and loving.
Found this on Kristen Ashley Facebook on what someone thought Tack looks like. It is a perfect version of him. He is  Rugged, built with sexy Tatts.
For Tyra known to Tack as "Red" I pick Christina Hendricks. Tyra works for Tack as his Office Manager in his garage. She is total opposite of him as she is beautiful, organize and will only wear her pencil skirts with sexy high heals to work.
Question:
Summer Break is upon us! What would be the perfect vacation spot for you to catch up on your reading & relax?
My Answer:
Taking you back to my favorite reading spot and home town Monetery, CA. Well I do like the beach in Monterey but my best reading times were in Carmel, CA.  My perfect vacation spot to catch up on my reading and relax would be Carmel, CA.
The beaches are beautiful with white sands.
This is China Beach..Never been here. Will have to check it out this summer.
Love listening to the waves while reading..Peaceful and relaxing.
Love to get a sneak peak in between reading at the surfers. But never seen any like this.
