18 & Over Book Blogger Follow #25

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by  Crystal from Reading Between The Wines. This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends!

Question of the Week: Has a book ever left you feeling depressed? If so, make sure to share what it was and why.

Never really had a book that left me feeling depressed but have two that were to me at times heart wrenching and written so well.

At Peace by Kristen Ashley was at times a heart wrenching book for me.  It had so many real life issues and was written nicely dealing with them. While I was reading it I thought to my self I am so happy I have never gone through that then something else would happen and I was thinking OMG I have gone through that. I do not want to say what the issues were so not to give any spoilers away. This was the first book I read by Kristen Ashley and have been hooked on her books since then. This was my first book I ever read that had so many emotions involved.

Coming Undone by Lauren Dane has got to be the most heart wrenching story I have ever read.  This book seriously had me coming undone. OMG everything I wanted to know about Elise past about her Ex-Husband and Brother all came out at once.  Lauren Dane did amazing job with her characters describing and feeling with real life issues. One of the issues hit a sore spot with me because this is  part of my life and I feel the same way as Elise. Lauren Dane nailed this issue to a T.  It hit me so hard I had to actually stop reading it for a moment and take a break.  Love Lauren Dane and Coming Undone.  This was my first book by her and totally hooked now.

  2. I've just started reading Kristen Ashley and I love her books although I haven't read this one yet. I notice you are reading Mystery Man, I am too. I'm a bit creeped out with Hawk visiting Gwen in the middle of the night for 18 months though.

I'm a new follower and here is mine if you get chance to stop by Claire's Book Corner

    Have a fantastic weekend

    1. Claire,
Thanks for stopping by. I am a little creeped out too that Hawk has been visiting Gwen in the middle of the night for 18 months. I got even more creeped out when she was remembering the first night he came to her. She did not even freak out while being woken up by a man in her bed.

  3. Hey you,
I am sorry about Brody's book -- I love his character so much that I forgot about all of the bad things that happened to them. I would have warned you because I definitely didn't want one of my favorite books to depress you!! :)

I LOVED At Peace but I hated Joe/Cal through half of the book!! LOL :) Have a great weekend!!
