His name is Ares, and the fate of mankind rests on his powerful shoulders. If he falls to the forces of evil, the world falls too. As one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, he is far stronger than any mortal, but even he cannot fight his destiny forever. Not when his own brother plots against him.
Yet there is one last hope. Gifted in a way other humans can't-or won't-understand, Cara Thornhart is the key to both this Horseman's safety and his doom. But involving Cara will prove treacherous, even beyond the maddening, dangerous desire that seizes them the moment they meet. For staving off eternal darkness could have a staggering cost: Cara's life.

Eternal Rider is the 1st book in Larissa Ione’s Lords of Deliverance series and is a spin off of the Demonica series. Starts off a bit slow but once it picks up it is hard to put down with lots of action, some good twist and turns. I thought Ares and Cara are a perfect match, both strong will characters. Their chemistry was hot right from the beginning and enjoyed every minute they were with each other. It was nice having the characters from the Demonica series in it and they never took away from the storyline. Just added to it. It was refreshing to read a different kind of Paranormal romance with the Four Horsemen. Larissa Ione is a amazing storyteller in Paranormal romance. All her characters have their own personalities and jump off the pages. Eternal Rider is a keeper for me.
I loved this book when I read it earlier this year, book 2 is great as well. I got book 3 for Christmas and I can't wait to read it. Great review :)
