Life: Hi everyone. Hope you all had a beautiful week. Yesterday my baby turned 28. Happy Birthday to our son. Planned on dinner night out but our son decided he rather do a movie night seeing Avengers: Endgame. Did not want to ruin the movie for others with my annoying cough I had all week. I decided to stay home. All is good as Dad and Son went. Honestly they really need some dad/son time. They had a great time and enjoyed the movie. Brats did not bring me home any popcorn.

Book Haul: Had a rough few weeks. May have notice have not been blogging as much. One of  our hair stylists mom was in reading J.D. Robb. We got to talking about her books and of course I was swooning over Roarke. Few days later her husband was in and handed me Apprentice In Death by J.D. Robb (the book she was reading) for me to keep. What a sweetheart. It is the little things in life that make me smile.

How was your week? Get any good books?

  1. Aww I'm glad your husband and son were able to have some bonding time. I hope you're feeling better from your cough! I've never read JD Robb but I've read her work as Nora Roberts and have loved it!

  2. I love it when life and good people gift books that way! We have a bit of a bookswap going on at work and I love the idea of holding a book that was loved by someone else! I hope life is a bit better for you in the next few weeks! Enjoy your new read :)

  3. Happy b-day to your son and Avengers Endgame- that seems like a pretty good way to spend a birthday. Although I'm nervous about going haha after everything I've heard. :)

Hope the book is awesome. :)

    1. Thank you. Over all boys enjoyed the movie. It was long and sure wish would have waited. But it was good for them to be together so I think they enjoyed that more.

  5. I hope you feel better soon! The cough tends to linger. That's so sweet about your hairstylist having you the J.D. Robb book! My husband and I want to see the Avengers movie! Maybe next week. Happy Reading!

I haven’t been able to keep up with the In Death series, but I do like it.

  9. JD Robb may have lots of book in the series but I love every one. Each is a winner; I don't know how she manages such consistency. I hope yu are feeling better.

  10. Yes, sometimes Dads/Sons or Daughters need time. Just like Moms/Sons or Daughters do. It's really nice when it happens. Happy Birthday to him! I hope you had a great mother's day and enjoy the nicer weather.
