Review: Delicate Freakn' Flower by Eve Langlais

Delicate Freakn' Flower (Freakn' Shifters #1)

Dammit , just how many toes was she going to have to stomp on before people realized she was a delicate freakin’ flower?

Naomi doesn’t want to follow tradition and settle down with a violence-loving, chest thumping shapeshifter. She grew up in a household with five, testosterone laden brothers where none of the dishes ever matched, the ugly-as-sin furniture could withstand any catastrophe, and where crazy glue was bought by the case.

When fate—with a snicker—makes her meet not one, but two mates, Naomi digs her heels in and refuses to do what her wolf—and her body—demands. No way is she voluntarily allowing herself to get hitched to a pair of dumbass—totally hot and muscled—lacrosse players.

Can Ethan, the towering Kodiak bear, and Javier, the sexy, tanned jaguar convince this she-wolf that life with them won’t be all chaos? And can this delicate freakn’ flower unbend her prejudices enough to recognize she needs a pair of men who can handle her thorns—and her passion?

Warning: this is a hot threesome story where all the focus is on her with pleasurable consequences.

I liked Bunny and The Bear by Eve Langlais but could not get into Delicate Freakn’ Flower. I could not connect with the heroes or heroine. For me the heroine was over the top snippy. I love a good strong will heroine that can hold her own and if they happen to be over the top usually the hero I will end up falling for and make me either like or love their story. Unfortunately that did not happen for me in Delicate Freakn’ Flower. The heroes were a little too corny for me. I received this copy for free when Amazon was having a special and bummed I could not get into it. When I am in the mood for a quick, fun, easy read I will stick with Furry United Coalition series by Eve Langlais.

    1. This did not grab my attention like her Furry United Coalition series. Look forward to see what you think of this. Can not complain it was a free read and look forward to reading it for the Shifter-A-Thon-Read-A-Long.

    2. That's the great thing about the freebies. Getting to check out other series from an author and seeing what works for ya :) I'm like that with Jill Shalvis. Love her books but one series of hers just is ok for some reason. Strange how it happens like that.
