Lanie Heron isn’t looking for love—no surprise, considering her last serious relationship nearly got her killed. So when Lanie propositions Hop Kincaid, all she wants is one wild night with the hot-as-hell biker who patrols with the Chaos Motorcycle Club...
For Hop, Lanie has always been untouchable. She’s too polished and too classy for his tastes. But when she gives Hop the once-over with her bedroom eyes and offers him a night in paradise, he can’t say no. And he doesn’t regret it when he finds that Lanie is the best thing that’s ever happened to him—in or out of bed. Now the trick will be to convince her of that.

Fire Inside is the same timeline as Own The Wind (Chaos #1). All the times Hop and Lanie were sneaking around in Own The Wind, Chaos fans will finally get the goods on what was going on between them and a little more. Since it was the same time frame, Hop’s story had no action or edge of your seat moments. For it being the same time frame I am happy that some of the drug lord scenes were not rehash from Own The Wind.
Fire Inside is about Lanie fighting the demons inside of her from being kidnapped and shot because of her dead husband actions in Motorcycle Man (Dream Man #4). Loved how we got to get inside Lanie’s head on what happened to her and the effect it had on her. If have not read Motorcycle Man do not worry Kristen Ashley did a great job with just enough info on what happened to Lanie.
Loved how Lanie and Hop were total opposites and fit so well together. Loved how Kristen Ashley cleared up a scene with Hop and Bebe from Motorcycle Man. She has way of making a scene more than what it really is. Hop is sexy with his alpha male attitude and loved every moment of it. Loved his jealous side especially when it came to Lanie going on a date with someone her friends were trying to hook her up with to get her back in the dating scene. No one knows she is seeing Hop. I wanted more with these scenes and felt it was pushed to get a jealous moment out of Hop.
A few things were a bit repetitive, like his mustache when ever he kissed her. I would of liked some of the repetitive stuff taken away and added more to the storyline with something new. The storyline for Fire Inside and Chaos series is so far missing some intense moments and action like her other novels. But that will not stop me from continuing the series. I will read and buy anything Kristen Ashley writes. Loving the cover for Fire Inside and look forward to the new cover.
