The Faster They Live, the Harder They Fall . . .
Raised by con artists, Ellie Watt has a lot of crazy childhood memories-but none crazier than being scarred with acid by the demented crime boss Travis Raines. Now Ellie is a full-grown woman who lives for revenge, and Travis is a full-blown drug lord who kills for pleasure. The sadistic bastard has kidnapped her good friend Gus as well as her mother, whom he's been holding as prized possessions in his heavily guarded lair. And Ellie has only one chance in hell of getting them out alive-using two dangerous men who love her to death . . .
One is Camden McQueen, a talented tattoo artist who's made a permanent mark on Ellie's heart. The other is Javier Bernal, her fiery ex-lover who's busted more than a few heads in his time. From the crime-ridden streets of Mexico City to the predatory jungles of Honduras, this unlikely trio forms an uneasy alliance in the deadliest game of all-a gun-blazing battle to the finish that will pit enemy against enemy and lover against lover. And Ellie must choose the right man to trust . . . or die.

I have been hooked on The Artists Trilogy since the beginning, sad to see it coming to an end but like all series there is a time when it needs to end. The plot for this series has been true since the beginning. Loved that Karina Halle never swayed from the main plot. Kudos to Karina Halle for a well put together series that was never over it expiration of needing to end. The Artists Trilogy series was just the right amount of novels that flowed smoothly together with beautiful, well put together covers that start with Ellie on it and end with her on it.
Bold Tricks had me on the edge of my seat with the kick butt action, twist and turns that I never knew where it is was going. I do not think I have talked so much to a book before. Especially with two scenes that Karina had me almost in tears and saying "Karina what have you done" then I could not swipe my kindle fast enough saying "Karina please tell me you did not just do this". I loved having Camden, Ellie and Javier together. Never a dull moment with them. Even had me giggling a few times.
Karina Halle is extremely talented in the "Love Triangle" department. The best is I never knew who Ellie would pick. Even towards the end when I knew Ellie had made her choice I still was not sure since Karina Halle loves to throw many surprises towards her readers. I started this series with On Every Street (The Artists Trilogy 0.5) and fell in love with Javier. Then in Sins & Needles (The Artists Trilogy #1) I fell head over heals with Camden. To my shock with Shooting Scars (The Artists Trilogy #2) I was torn between Javier and Camden. So going in to Bold Tricks (The Artists Trilogy #3) I was really not rooting for one or the other. I went into it knowing which ever lover Ellie picked I would be happy.
Loved how it all turned out with Javier, Ellie and Camden. Karina Halle did a phenomenal job in the direction the characters went. Thank you Karina Halle for the best ending to a fabulous series with a perfect Epilogue.

Ahhhh I know who I want. Don't know if I want them with Ellie but *I* want them. lol So glad to hear it was a knock out until the end. I'm going to squeeze in book two as soon as I can and can't wait now. Love that it had you talking to your book. lol
ReplyDeleteOh it was bad as two scenes shocked they heck out of me. So happy no one was around when I was reading it. They would think I was nuts.
DeleteAfter reading this, I've just downloaded On every street and Sins and needles. Hope I'll have time to read them now that I'm on holidays - I'll let you know ;)
