Synopsis
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Ugly Love is the 3rd novel I had read by Colleen Hoover and sadly it did not win me over like Hopeless and Slammed. The first half was just sex. Do not get me wrong I love reading a hot novel but when it comes to Colleen Hoover I love her wow moments. Did not get that till last half. I did love Miles flashbacks and that is when I could not swipe my kindle fast enough. I wanted to know what was his demons that he carries in side to not want love. The reason for his demons broke my heart. Towards the end I understood why readers needed the long awaited beginning to truly get a feel of Miles emotions but I still wish the first half had more to it then sex scene after sex scene. I have become a huge fan of Colleen Hoover and slowly working my through all her novels.
Love your blog make over! Beautiful! I want to read this book so much, but still haven't had a chance yet. Enjoyed your review! You had me laughing when you said 'To much Sex!' LOL ;)
ReplyDeleteHi sweetie. Hope everything is well with your mother. Missing you tons. Right who the heck complains about too much sex. Lol.
DeleteMeh. I'm glad I've passed on this book. I've only read two books by Hoover and it was the Hopeless series books. One I enjoyed and the other I didn't. This one did not strike me as something I'd enjoy and based off of your review, I wouldn't. Thanks for being honest.
ReplyDeleteHopeless was a 5 star - amasing Read for me. Did not read his Pov in the second book. One day I will. So far all her novels blurbs have caught my attention. Yeah if the blurb does not show you any interest for sure do not read.
Deletei will be skipping sexy novels for now. the last ones I've read were far from great. At least she manged to balance it out in the end
ReplyDeleteHate when I read some bad books in a particular genre it seems to set me off of them for awhile too. I am so happy it balanced at the end and was able to enjoy it more.
DeleteUsually I see nothing but gushing love for this, its kind of nice to see its not as perfect as everyone else seems to think. I haven't read it myself though.
ReplyDeleteShe has some great reviews for this but for me had some issues for me to truly love it. I was able to still enjoy some of the story. Lauren I hope you get around to reading it if plan on it. There were quite a few books from some of my favorite authors that others hated and I absolutely loved them.
DeleteA shame you didn't enjoy this one... I loved this book ,sex scenes and all! I hope the movie is good!

I am happy you were the one of many that loved it sex and all. I was still able to enjoy the last part of it. So was not a total downer just did not love it as much as I wanted to. Have you seen the movie teaser. Wow it has got my attention. Sexy. I am sure I will not be complaining seeing Archer over and over again in action in the bedroom department. Does that even make sense that I wanted more than the sex scenes in the novel but I am sure I will be fine with it in the movie. Well I say that now but will have to wait and see.
DeleteI loved this one. It's definitely more NA than her previous books. Glad you liked it overall, though.
