Lusting For Covers: Enemy Mine by Megan Mitcham

Lusting for Covers is a weekly meme, held on Sunday, that allows bloggers to share their current cover obsession with fellow book lovers. This meme is hosted by TBQ @ TBQ’s Book Palace.

Enemy Mine (Base Branch #1)
by Megan Mitcham
Genre: Romantic Suspense
When friends become enemies and enemies become lovers.

Born in the blood of Sierra Leone's Civil War, enslaved, then sold to the US as an orphan, Base Branch operative, Sloan Harris is emotionally dead and driven by vengeance. With no soul to give, her body becomes the bargaining chip to infiltrate a warlord's inner circle, the man called The Devil who killed her family and helped destroy a region.

As son of the warlord, Baine Kendrick will happily use Sloan's body, if it expedites his father's demise. Yet, he is wholly unprepared for the possessive and protective emotions she provokes. Maybe it’s the flashes of memory. Two forgotten children drawing in the dirt beneath the boabab tree. But he fears there is more at stake than his life.

In the Devil's den with Baine by her side, Sloan braves certain death and discovers a spirit for living.

Cover caught my attention with the orange coloring, title and sexy guy.  The beard and pose really did it for me. Oh I love a good "When friends become enemies and enemies become lovers."

  1. Ooh, yum! No complaints here. :D

Hope you have a great week!

  2. Ooo you just don't see scruff often enough :) I do like the color too. Very eye catching!

  3. The coloring is awesome, and I have to say I love a little scruff on a man, not a full on beard, but that seems perfect for him on the cover.

    1. Renee I am not a full on beard kind of gal. I have seen some that work for me but this is enough for me.

Hello Lovelies. Thank you for stopping by. I love to hear from you.
