Sweet Temptation: Wild Hunger by Chloe Neill

Sweet Temptation is a feature on Wickedly Delicious Book Blog. That centers around books that have caught my attention. Whether it be a quote, snippet, teaser, excerpt, synopsis or a review.

Wild Hunger by Chloe Neill
Series: Heirs Of Chicagoland #1
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Publisher: Berkley On August 14, 2018
As the only vampire child ever born, some believed Elisa Sullivan had all the luck. But the magic that helped bring her into the world left her with a dark secret. Shifter Connor Keene, the only son of North American Central Pack Apex Gabriel Keene, is the only one she trusts with it. But she's a vampire and the daughter of a Master and a Sentinel, and he's prince of the Pack and its future king.

When the assassination of an ambassador brings old feuds to the fore again, Elisa and Connor must choose between love and family, between honor and obligation, before Chicago disappears forever.

Thoughts: I have seen Chicagoland Vampires series around but have yet to read them. This seems to be a spin off from that series. I am liking the idea of a Vampire heroine and a Shifter hero. I read the prologue on Chloe Neill website and thought it was adorable.

Are You Fan Of Chicagoland series? Are you eagerly waiting for the first Heirs Of Chicagoland?

  2. I read the first few books in The Chicagoland Vampires and liked them a lot but never continued for some reason. I saw this on Netgalley and was wondering if it would be any good. I do like her writing style so maybe I will pick it up.

  3. I haven't heard of this series! I stopped reading vampire books for a while, but I've started looking for them again. It just has to REALLY grab me from the blurb (or make me curious by reading other reviews).

I'm loving that cover for UNDYING!

  4. I tried the first ones on audio and really disliked the heroine. However everyone has said it was the narration and it gets better. I love her urban fantasy series. Do I really need to read the other series to start this?

    1. I do not know for sure if need to read the other series 1st. I was wondering the same thing since this series is sparking my interest more. I was trying to find more info and could not find a lot. I am most likely going to wait for some reviews to see.

    1. Oh Anna sometimes it is hard to get over a grudge. I am always bummed when I quit mid series for what ever my reason is.
