Goodreads quote caught my attention for Honor Reclaimed.

“One shot, one kill. Anything more is a waste.” He ejected the fired cartridge, chambered a fresh round. “Find the others.”

The corner of Ian’s mouth kicked up in a sardonic half smile and he lifted the scope again. “This doesn’t mean we’re friends. I still think you’re window-licking insane, Hero.”

“And I still think you’re an evil motherfucker, so we’re even. Now find me another target.”

Thoughts
I had Seal Of Honor (Hornet #1) for review from NetGalley. But I did not get a chance to read it before I stopped doing ARC. I am a huge fan of  "boys club" in my reads. Hopefully I will get to Hornets series soon.

Book Info
Title: Honor Reclaimed
Series: Hornet #2
Author: Tonya Burrows

Synopsis by Goodreads
Former Marine sniper Seth Harlan is determined to prove that he can still do his job despite his ongoing battle with PTSD. When an old friend contacts HORNET to rescue a black ops soldier, Seth's stability is strained. He knows all too well what it's like to rot inside an enemy camp, praying for rescue and waiting for death. And he's not about to leave a man behind.

Photojournalist Phoebe Leighton just stumbled into the middle of an arms deal. Teaming up with a ragtag team of mercenaries is the last thing she wants to do--especially when she realizes Seth Harlan is assigned to the mission. He may ignite a passion in her she thought long dead, but Phoebe's hiding a secret that could destroy him.

With a bomb in the mix, HORNET's mission is suddenly about a lot more than an abandoned soldier. Racing against the clock, Seth, Phoebe, and the rest of the team struggle to stop a ruthless warlord bent on power, revenge...and death.

  1. I think this series looks great, too. I've got a couple of her books on my TBR pile.

  2. I haven't read this series yet, but its definitely one I want to try out soon. I do like it when authors use PTSD that characters struggle with especially since its something so many people in the real world struggle with.

    1. I have not read many books with PTSD. I do get nervous with any kind of issues people struggle with in real life. Because a lot of authors now a days use reall life issues as just a backdrop and not do their research. So the characters with real life issues their actions do not match up with their disorders etc.

  3. I actually like to read about issues people struggle with in real life because it makes the story more real, although I get it's tricky because authors need to be careful how they treat subjects such as PTSD. I read a couple of books with it that worked quite well for me, hope you have a good experience with this one when you get the chance to read it.

    1. I feel if the author does her research about the disorders I can relate better and does make the characters feel real.
