One of my goals for 2017 is to clean out my TBR pile. I have some books that I just had to have it ASAP, waited for it to be release or went on sale. Can not pass up a book you want that is on sale. For what ever my reasons I never read them. I am sure were are all like that.

The bossy biker breaks down her defenses, but unlike the old Kadence, the woman she is today won’t give in without a fight.

Sometimes you want someone so much...
Sometimes you need someone so much...
Lust can become love.
And love can turn into a deadly obsession.

Skye Sullivan knows that someone is watching her. Not just watching - stalking her. Months ago, Skye was involved in a dangerous car accident. The accident ended her dancing career and sent her fleeing back to Chicago. Skye is convinced that her stalker caused the crash, and she fears that he won’t stop pursuing her, not until she’s dead.

When someone breaks into her apartment in Chicago, Skye turns to the one man she believes can protect her - Trace Weston. Once, Trace was her lover. Two lost souls, they’d come together in a firestorm of need and desire. But then Trace had pushed her away. He’d joined the military, vanishing from her life. She’d put all of her emotion into dancing, and she’d tried to forget him.

Now Trace is one of the most successful men in the United States. Rich, driven, and carrying dark secrets, he agrees to help Skye. He’ll protect her from the danger that lurks in the darkness, but Trace wants more than to just be a guard for Skye.

He wants her. And he’ll take her. The years have changed him, hardened him. He’s not just a poor kid from the streets any longer. Now, he can have anything - or anyone - that he wants. And the one woman he has always wanted has just come back into his life. He won’t let her go again.

But with the threats mounting against Skye, she suspects that her stalker may be intimately close. He’s a man who knows her too well. As his attacks grow ever more dangerous, she realizes that if she trusts the wrong man, she could be making a fatal mistake.

Just how far would you go in order to possess the one person you want the most?

Synopsis by Goodreads
A deadly game of hide and seek.

With blood still on her hands, Samantha Matthews is on the run, running from dark secrets and a man she prays to God will never find her. Running and hiding, just to stay alive. She had no choice but to run, to leave, to hide and forget about her life before. When Samantha believes she's gained enough distance from her past and her demons, she stops running, hoping to find her future in the heavily wooded area of the Adirondack Mountains, a place she never expected to encounter a man with secrets as dark and as sordid as hers.

Kade Grayson is hiding, not from the demons after him, but from himself and from the entire outside world, wishing every day he could have just died. Arrogant and domineering, he’s tormented and terrorized by his past, seeing nothing good for his future. With the ghosts of his past still haunting him, he has exiled himself to a life of solitude, only living for his words and through his stories.

Until her.

An undeniable attraction, turns into hate and then ultimately obsession, an obsession that grows into a powerful story of love and redemption.

Will the bond they have begun to build between them grow stronger than the tragedies that have scarred both of their lives? Or will they allow their demons to consume them?

Real Life: Crazy Short Wearing & Flip-Flops Kind Of Day

Happy Sunday everyone. What a gorgeous weekend we are having in my little corner of the world here in MI. Crazy it is winter and was in the mid 60's today. All our patio stuff is tucked away but hubby was able to get to our lounge chairs. It was nice, got to sit out in the sun on the front porch and relax. Well hubby had on shorts and flip-flops. Not me, ha ha I am not there yet. It was nice to get some reading done outside in my worn out jeans, comfy slippers, baseball hat and no make up.

Love quotes and teasers. Here is one from Shadow Rider by Christine Feehan.

"Text me, Francesca. I won't be happy if you forget."

"We all endeavor to make you happy," she murmured softly, and smiled innocently up at him.

Stefano is bossy and Francesca can be a tad bit sassy.

Goodreads quote caught my attention for Honor Reclaimed.

“One shot, one kill. Anything more is a waste.” He ejected the fired cartridge, chambered a fresh round. “Find the others.”

The corner of Ian’s mouth kicked up in a sardonic half smile and he lifted the scope again. “This doesn’t mean we’re friends. I still think you’re window-licking insane, Hero.”

“And I still think you’re an evil motherfucker, so we’re even. Now find me another target.”

Thoughts
I had Seal Of Honor (Hornet #1) for review from NetGalley. But I did not get a chance to read it before I stopped doing ARC. I am a huge fan of  "boys club" in my reads. Hopefully I will get to Hornets series soon.

Sorry lovelies. I am obsessing over Tonya Burrows at the moment. Another synopsis that caught my attention. I really just need to get one of her books and get over it. Now for the cover. It is all about how a man holds his weapon. Yep this sexy wife-beater wearing, hunk of a man is doing it right. Ok I am no professional in weaponry but it sure looks good to me. I am into little detail and I do not know why but I am liking his wife-beater a little tucked into the front of his jeans.

Sweet Temptation Feature: Gabriel's Ghost by Linnea Sinclair

Sweet Temptation is a feature on Wickedly Delicious Book Blog. That centers around books that have caught my attention. Whether it be a quote, snippet, teaser, excerpt, synopsis or a review.

I remember seeing Linnea Sinlair in books stores a while back. Never really gave them much thought since I do not read a lot of Science Fiction. I was curious to see what Renee at Addicted To Romance thought of it so I read her review.  First "Gabriel Sullivan–alpha mercenary, smuggler, and rogue–is supposed to be dead." in the synopsis caught my attention. Then in her review she had me with "Gabriel is a man that is alpha when he needs to be, proud, a fighter and cunning and over protective especially of his closest friends." That is the kind of alpha male hero I love in my books. Thanks Renee for another addition to my goodreads.
