Feature & Follow: Book Boyfriends

Top 5 Favorite Book Boyfriends

Most of my heroes I love are alpha males who are known to be broody, pushy but also have a gentle side to them. I love a hero that loves hard not only for his lover but family too.

1. My first book boyfriend has to be Rain Tairen Soul from Lord Of The Fading Lands (Tairen Soul #1). Have yet to read a hero like him. His character is intriguing. He is also my top Alpha Male hero. It is in his nature to be dominate, serious, and he is not known for patience. But readers get to gradually see his patient, playful and gentle side. His patient towards Ellie is breathtaking beautiful and sweet. What I love more is Ellie's happiness is what he wants most. Especially when it comes to her family. His devotion to Ellie is impressive.

Favorite Quote:
“I am not a good man, shei'tani," he corrected. "I never have been. But for you I will strive to be better.”

2.  Tease by Geri Glenn is a broody, trust no one with an alpha male attitude.  What makes Tease on my book boyfriend list is his badass, gentle side when it comes to Laynie. He not only thinks she is beautiful but loves her personality. He loves that she does not let her blindness affect her, lives in the moment and enjoys life. The best part for me is his  actions when they are in certain situations. It is little things that a hero can do with out words and actions only that will make me crush on the hero more.  I loved that troughout the novel it was his actions of just grabbing her hand or putting her hand on the lower part of his back to help guide her. My quote is not one of those times because he is not one for patience.

Quote:
Grasping my hand in his own, he places it on his hip. Suprised and confused, I yank it away. "Babe. We gotta move. Hook onto my belt loop."

"What?" What's going on?

"Your dog is hurt. We need to get him to a vet. To do that, we gotta move. Now hold onto my fuckin' belt."

3. Of course I have to have a Tessa Bailey alpha male, dirty talking hero on my book boyfriend list. Brent from Asking For Trouble made my list. Brent shows the world his loud abrasive personality. Really he is a caring brother and son who takes cares of his family. He likes to feel needed by people he cares about. He is not one to really let his lovers take control in the bedroom department but he does for Hayden. He just lets her have enough control to scratch her bad girl itch. Now in my eyes that is a true man who is 100% devoted to his lover. He is also fun. Loved that this was an opposite attract trope that left for some fun banter through out the novel.

Quote:
"You're testing my patience here, duchess," he growled. "If you have any doubt about my ability to fuck the ever-loving sarcasm right out of you, I'll be more than happy to clear it up."

4. Have to have Rush from Fallen Too Far. This is one of those books I was just going to read a few chapters and see how Abbi Glines writing was. Bad move LOL as I Added it to goodreads, bought it and read it ASAP. He is a jerk but gradually see the caring and sweet side to him. What makes me love him more is he goes to great lengths to protect his crazy sister Nan. Even though I do hate how some of the outcome breaks my heart concerning Blaire. I understand he has always been over protective of his sister. So I would not of expected him to stop at once. Made his character more real.

5. Of course Daemon from Obsidian made my list. He was a jerk in the beginning. But grew to love him as he is what I love in a hero, swoon worthy, arrogant, overconfident, protective, loving and sweet. Boy is he a smart mouth.  Their bickering moments are fun and never boring.

Quote:
“Stalking me again, I see. Do I need to get a restraining order?”

“In you dreams, Kitten.” He smirked. “Oh wait, I’m already starring in those, aren’t I?”

“Nightmares, Daemon, Nightmares.”

Review / Swoon: Marked by Rebecca Zanetti

Rating: 5 Stars - Amazing

Series: Dark Protectors #7
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Publisher: eKensington
Publication Date:
Format: Kindle
Pages: 304
Source: Bought

Synopsis by Goodreads:
Janie Kayrs has known Zane almost her whole life. He was her friend in the dream world. She trusted him. But that was before he kidnapped her, spiriting her away to an isolated cabin to learn what her dreams never told her. Like how dangerous he looks. How he got on the wrong side of the negotiating table. And how much sexier he is in real life. . .

Zane is a battle-hardened warrior, used to command and solitude. But Janie has drawn him from the minute they met. His need for her could destroy everything he's worked for, but the risk is too sweet not to take it. They call her the Chosen One. But when it comes down to the questions of peace or war, life or death, safety or passion, it will be Janie who makes the choice. . .

Love is about to start conquering. . .

What I love most about Zane and Janie was his protectiveness and her feistiness. Left for some fun banter.

Oh, hell no. Zane grasped both her arms and set her behind him. Then he held up a finger to Talen Kayrs. "Give me a minute." Turning his back on one of the most dangerous vampires in history, he glared down at her. "Never, and I mean fucking never, get between me and somebody who wants to hit me. Got it?"

Blue flashed hard and pissed in her gorgeous eyes. "Right now I want to hit you."

Bummer King did not work out for me. I was all in for a Dark Read. Did not start out that way and was not really getting into King the hero. But darn it  T.M. Frazier got me hooked and was gradually liking him. Even though I was in the mood for a Dark read and for it not going in that direction I was enjoying it and could not swipe my kindle fast enough. King was moody and sexy all at the same time. The sexual tension and dirty talk was good and I loved his hot and cold moments towards Doe the heroine. His character was so unpredictable. But one thing that was given he would do anything even kill if anybody hurt someone he cared for.  Love seeing the good, gentle and badass side to his character. As for the plot I had to know who Doe was? Would she find out? Nice twist with that as I never guessed it.

The secondary characters Preppy and Bear. Loved them as they had their own  voice and personalities. Preppy added so much interest in the story but never over took it. His tatted up body- button up shirt-bow tie-suspender wearing smartass character was odd, sexy and refreshing.

Now for the bad. The flow of the book was terrible. The book took a huge turn around and out of the blue it became dark. Again I was in the mood for a dark read but the execution of this was so off. Three major incidents that were shocker moments felt like they were just thrown in the story. Not flushed out at all.  There were no after affects. I did not even get a chance to let anything sink in to what the fuck just happened  and became disconnected from the characters.  Especially King his actions were so off during these incidents hated him after the first incident and lost respect for him on the second incident.

The ending was good. But the damaged has been done and already lost my connections with the characters.

 Thoughts
I have been out of the blogging and book world for so long.  I was excited when I found out M. Leighton had a new book coming out. Thanks to Stuck In Books for the cover reveal post.  Had to use it for my L4C post this week. Love the nice tush shot in jeans. The best part for me is the hat hanging off the jeans.

Like my L4C pick this week? Love to know what your thoughts are.

Blush Alert: Burning Wild by Christine Feehan

Today my Blush Alert is a "Desk" Sexy Snippet from Burning Wild by Christine Feehan. No Dirty Talkers here but I love her shifters.  What I love most about Christine Feehan  novels is that I never know what the sex scenes will be like. This is one of my favorite scenes that got me hot and bothered. Lets just say he was not playing fair while he was working and loved that she was able to pay him back. Have to read the book to find out how the scene starts and how it ends. Enjoy! Jake and Emmas book was all kinds of amazing. I had a lot of different emotions with their story. It had a refreshing plot. Review coming soon.

Sexy Snippet
...Her throat was sore from his size and he controlled every move, which was just a little frightening, but also vaguely exciting to her. His fists were tight on either side of her head, as he slid in and out of her mouth, holding himself deep for a few moments and then pulling back just enough so she could breathe.

The phone rang and Emma froze. Jake released one hand from her hair and hit the speaker phone before gripping her hair again and thrusting more gently this time, urging Emma to continue.

"Yes?" His voice was gruff.

Emma smiled, relieved he wasn't casual and unaffected as he acted. Deliberately she swirled her tongue around the flared head, teasing the underside. If he could try to keep his mind on his business while she lay naked, sprawled out on his desk with his shaft sliding erotically down her throat, she was going to make certain it wasn't going to be easy for him.

Caught My Attention: Bittersweet by Sarina Bowen

CMA is a new feature on Wickedly Delicious Book Blog. That centers around books that have Caught My Attention. Whether it be a quote, snippet, teaser, excerpt, synopsis or a review.

My CMA Pick
Hello "True North is populated by the tough, outdoorsy mountain men that populate the Green Mountain State"  how could I not read on and see what Bittertsweet was about. "They raise cows and they grow apples."  Read quite a few rancher reads but never a farmer.

Bittersweet (True North #1)
by Sarina Bowen

Synopsis by Goodreads
The new series is set in Vermont. True North is populated by the tough, outdoorsy mountain men that populate the Green Mountain State. They raise cows and they grow apples. They chop a lot of wood, especially when they need to blow off steam. (Beards are optional but encouraged.)

If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the orchard.

The last person Griffin Shipley expects to find stuck in a ditch on his Vermont country road is his ex-hookup. Five years ago they’d shared a couple of steamy nights together. But that was a lifetime ago.

At twenty-seven, Griff is now the accidental patriarch of his family farm. Even his enormous shoulders feel the strain of supporting his mother, three siblings and a dotty grandfather. He doesn’t have time for the sorority girl who’s shown up expecting to buy his harvest at half price.

Vermont was never in Audrey Kidder’s travel plans. Neither was Griff Shipley. But she needs a second chance with the restaurant conglomerate employing her. Okay—a fifth chance. And no self-righteous lumbersexual farmer will stand in her way.

They’re adversaries. They want entirely different things from life. Too bad their sexual chemistry is as hot as Audrey’s top secret enchilada sauce, and then some.

Quote-Tastic / Swoon Thursday: Rough Justice by Sarah Castille

Hello. I thought I would come back to blogging with a bang. Rough Justice by Sarah Castille had a lot of goodies for me. Sexy Alpha Male ~ Dirty Talker ~ Hard Bodied Bikers that were swoon worthy and fun. Par taking in a few memes this week. Since Rough Justice hit all my likes in a book I decided to turn it into one post.

Happy Monday!
