My candidate:
I had my issues with Torn from You (Tear Asunder #1) by Nashoda Rose but there was side characters like Georgie and Deck that really caught my attention. Loved their story in Perfect Chaos  and Nashoda Rose writing voice. I am so happy I took another chance on her because I would of missed a great novel. Review coming soon.

Perfect Chaos (Unyielding #1)
by Nashoda Rose

Quote-tastic #1
Georgie  is caught by Deck having a one-night stand. Her one-night stand is a wuss who is afraid of Deck. He has no problems letting Deck take her away. The things Georgie says and her inner thoughts leave for giggle moments for me. She is a feisty character. Love Deck as he is the only one who knows how to deal with her.

"Listen man, I didn't know she was yours. I was-"

That got my attention. "His? You think I belong to him? Like a fucking hamster? Listen here, cheesecake." Because he really was cheesecake, smooth with no hardness about him. Shit, he was even missing the best part...the crunchy granola. I started toward Lionel, my eyes blazing and my fists ready to smack him a good one. I was sick of men who were pissants. "I'm not a pet. I have-" I screeched as I felt my body fly into the air and land hard on my stomach over Deck's shoulder.

"Shut it."

Quote-tastic #2
Georgie has 2 secrets she is keeping from Deck. One secret is a bit on the dark side so when Deck finds out he is not too happy. I could not swipe my kindle fast enough because Deck is not all talk. When it comes to Georgie is very protected.

He snorted and abruptly  shoved me away from him. "Why? Because you love him? Can't bear to see him hurt? Well, don't worry; I'm not going to hurt him, Georgie. I'm going to fuckin' kill him."

Review (NA): Unspoken by Jen Frederick

Unspoken (Woodlands #2)
by Jen Frederick

Synopsis
Whore. Slut. Typhoid Mary.

I've been called all these at Central College. One drunken night, one act of irresponsible behavior, and my reputation was ruined. Guys labeled me as easy and girls shied away. To cope, I stayed away from Central social life and away from Central men, so why is it that my new biology lab partner is so irresistible to me?

He's everything I shouldn't want. A former Marine involved in illegal fighting with a quick trigger temper and an easy smile for all the women. His fists aren't the danger to me, though, it's his charm. He's sliding his way into my heart and I'm afraid that he's going to be the one to break me.

Impulsive. Unthinking. Hot tempered.

I allow instinct to rule my behavior. If it feels good, do it, has been my motto because if I spend too much time thinking, I'll begin to remember exactly where I came from. At Central College, I've got fighting and I've got women and I thought I was satisfied until I met her.

She's everything I didn't realize I wanted and the more time I spend with her, the more I want her. But she's been hurt too much in the past and I don't want to be the one to break her. I know I should walk away, but I just can't.

Review: Rock Chick Redemption by Kristen Ashley

Rock Chick Redemption (Rock Chick #3)
by Kristen Ashley

Synopsis
Roxie’s on the run from a bad boyfriend who will not catch the hint that it is o-v-e-r. She’s in no mood for love at first sight, but when her eyes fall on Hank, it’s trouble from the get-go. Roxie tries to hold Hank at arms length but Hank wants to be a closer (as in, a lot closer). Roxie’s trouble catches up with her and Hank wants to help but Roxie knows in her heart that she’s no good for a white hat guy. The problem is no one agrees with her, especially her crazy hippie best friend Annette or her parents; the even crazier small-Indiana-town Herb and Trish. Toss into the mix the gang from Rock Chick and Rock Chick Rescue and Roxie finds herself totally outnumbered.

Climb in for another Rock Chick wild ride through Rock Chick Redemption. As the odds stack up against Roxie, she has no choice but to hold on and just ride it out through the kidnappings, car chases, society parties, a riot at the strip club, Hank getting “Mom Bombed” and one crazy night at the Haunted House.

During all this Hank works at convincing her she really wants to stay and he, along with the Hot Bunch, go all out to make her safe. Hank also needs to work on showing Roxie that her past decisions don’t mean her future can’t include something as downright delicious as… normal.

Review: Rock Chick Rescue by Kristen Ashley

Rock Chick Rescue (Rock Chick #2)
by Kristen Ashley

Synopsis
Jet McAlister has a secret. Eddie Chavez has the hots for Jet (not to mention Eddie’s just plain hot). Jet has too many problems to realize that Eddie’s interested. Eddie loses patience when Jet ends her waitressing shift at a strip club with a knife at her throat. Since Eddie’s a cop, he figures he can help. Since Jet’s used to solving everyone’s problems she doesn’t want Eddie’s help.

Throw in a Dolly Parton look-alike, a gruff but lovable strip club owner, Jet’s ne’er do well father, his ne’er do well friend, Bear, Bear’s long-suffering, chain-smoking wife Lavonne and the crew from Rock Chick and you’ve got Rock Chick Rescue.

Rock Chick Rescue takes you on a wild ride with Jet, Eddie and the gang as they wrestle bad guys in a bagel shop, hit Denver’s backstreet poker tables (with big hair), and help the strippers at Smithie’s take down a would-be murderer.

Through this, Jet’s got to learn that even when life made you give up your dreams, you can still end up with the (hot) guy. Eddie’s got to rescue Jet from a bad man (so he can do better things with her) and teach her that some dreams can come true.

Review: Fallen by Callie Hart

Fallen (Blood & Roses #4)
by Callie Hart

Synopsis
Fallen is the fourth book in the Blood & Roses series. Make sure you check out Deviant, Fracture and Burn prior to reading this instalment.

Sloane
For over two years, Sloane Romera has pinned everything on finding Alexis. Life was going to get better. Easier. Happier. The nightmare of having a missing sister was supposed to end, and everything was supposed to go back to normal.
However, now that she’s found her sister, Sloane is discovering that life has a way of ridiculing what we expect of it.

Nothing is easier.

And ‘normal’ is falling for a man who might never be able to feel the same way.

***

Zeth
A lengthy history of breaking things with his fists has given Zeth Mayfair a fairly good idea of how to get his own way. But when his goal, the one, single woman on the face of the planet that he’s truly ever wanted, can only be obtained by fixing things instead of destroying them, how can he adjust a lifetime of violence in order to make her his once and for all? And how can he make sure that she is safe?

The first part is going to take time. But the second part…
The second part is easy.

He must kill Charlie Holsan.
