FIRST IN A NEW SERIES

In the new Mastered series by New York Times bestselling author Lorelei James, a woman’s desire to shatter her inhibitions leaves her unprepared for where that erotic journey will take her….

Former small-town girl Amery Hardwick is living her dream as a graphic designer in Denver, Colorado. She’s focused on building her business, which leaves little time for dating—not that she needs a romantic entanglement to fulfill her. When her friend signs up for a self-defense class as part of her recovery after an attack, Amery joins her for support. That’s where she meets him.

Ronin Black, owner of the dojo, is so drawn to Amery that he takes over her training—in public and in private. The enigmatic Ronin pushes Amery’s boundaries from the start, and with each new tryst, Amery becomes addicted to the pleasure and to him. But when Amery senses Ronin is hiding something, she questions her total trust in him, despite the undeniable thrill of his possession….

Spoil Free Review:

Love Lorelei James sexy cowboys in her Rough Riders series and had no idea what I was getting into when I dived into Bound. I was sure not expecting what I got. I got much more. Lorelie James turned something into her own.

Lorelei James captivated readers with the art of Shibari or at least for me she has. Shibari is an ancient Japanese artistic form of rope bondage. I have read many novels with BDSM and dealing with rope but never have I read a novel so descriptive and well explained. Who would think reading an erotic novel would be a learning tool. I was so amazed by this and of course had to do my own little research. Lorelei James did her research and did it well. That is why she is a top seller author. Plus she has a beautiful writing voice and knows how to make readers fall in love with her characters.

So of course I fell in love with Ronin Black. I believe I fell in love with his name before him. I do love a mysterious hero and Ronin is as mysterious as they come. I wish more layers were pealed away about him because I feel like it was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his life, which he likes to keep private. Slowly the layers are peeled and not by his doing or choice, more so by Amery. Refreshing to have a hero of mixed-heritage with Japanese, Master and Owner of a Dojo.

The first time he meets Amery he is intrigue by her fierceness and sexiness. He senses her desire to be bold and break free. He works hard, had not played in a long time and is need of some playtime. Ronin you can come play with me anytime.

"But I'm just a guy, Amery. A guy who works too hard and plays too little. And after meeting you? His heated gaze roamed over her face. "I'm more than ready to play."

He is sexy, intense but at the same time all about her pleasures and patient. Amery is a patient heroine because after their hot first kiss there is no way I would be able to control my self.

I enjoyed Amery character. Her past lovers were all about pleasuring themselves and not her. For her it is new and refreshing to finally find a lover who is all about her. I love that she is not shy in the bedroom department and is willing to explore. I found her a strong will heroine who does have limits when it comes to  Ronin with  Shibari.

Love them as a couple. They both have a sense of humor and of course are deliciously sinful in the bedroom. Lorelei James knows how to write yummy scorching-panty changing scenes with a  sexy-tattoo-biker riding-dirty talking Ronin.

"Next time I eat your pussy I'm going to kiss you with a mouthful of your juices so you'll know how delectable you taste."

Their time together is also bumpy as he focuses on her completely that he reveals little of himself.  While she believes she has opened herself up to him fully, she does not get that he has revealed more to her than he has anyone else. He just choice what was important to reveal about himself.

Bound is in Amery POV and I really wanted to get into Ronins head and see some of his actions when it came towards Amery. Yes it is a cliffhanger and was sure how it was going to end but to my surprise it was done in Ronin POV and let me tell you that was truly the best. So I am for sure curious how their story is going to play out and what else will be revealed about him in Unwound (Mastered #2) due out March 25th, 2014.

Spoil Free Review:

Brigid Kemmerer knocked it out of the ball bark with Secret. A page turner and unpredictable.

I was excited and curious to see how Brigid Kemmerer wrote a m/m relationship especially with Nick  not sure about his sexuality and coming out. Then with Adam who is opened about his sexuality. Brigid Kemmerer writing skills shined in the m/m department. I felt every emotion between Nick and Adam as individuals and as a couple. Each new novel in the Elemental series is getting hotter and hotter. There were a few times I was anxious but at the same time eager  to swipe my kindle, because I had no idea how far Brigid was going to go in the bedroom department. Nick and Adams chemistry was off the charts hot and sweet. The caressing, the kissing was well written and loved every minute of it. I was a bit shocked after reading Breathless (Elemental 2.5) that in Secret Adam was not as aggressive, but considering his past I understand. Who would of thought Nick would be the aggressive one.

I am finding with each new novel the brothers are more intense and distant with each other. I am loving this direction  and fits great with each brothers story but I will admit I am missing the fun banter between all brothers. I loved how all brothers found out about Nick sexuality and how they all reacted. Their finding out was nicely paced through out the novel.

I liked Quinn in the beginning but then she started to annoy me. But once her storyline took a different route she was not as bad. I get she has a terrible home life with her mom and brother but her reactions towards Becca her best friend was uncalled for. I felt she took it over the top.

Aside from loving Nick and Adam storyline I was so flipping nervous about Tyler having some serious book time. I thought his side story added so much to the novel and flowed in with the plot, never  taking away from Nick and Adam. Brigid Kemmerer for sure had me on the edge of my seat with his scenes that I could not wait to read more about him, because I had no clue how is storyline would play out. Is he the bad Tyler from earlier novels or a good guy after all? Loved the layers with his character because at one point readers finally find out if he is bad or good.  No worries will not spoil it for you. I think it is best to not know what is going on with him going into Secret.

Secret to date is my favorite Elemental novel. Now I am ready for Michaels story in Sacrifice (Elemental #5) coming  September 2014.

ARC provided by publisher, Kensington Books at NetGalley for an honest review.

I had a blast as always buddy reading with TBQ's Book Palace. Love ya babe and loving more that we are still on the same page when it comes to our Merrick brothers.  Curious on her thoughts of Secret check out her review.

Review: The Professional: Part 3 by Kresley Cole

 Are you ready to play?
Yet all is not as it seems. To remove Natalie from an enemy's reach, Sevastyan spirits her into hiding. From an opulent palace in Russia to the decadent playgrounds of the mega-wealthy in Paris, the two lovers will discover that even their darkest - and most forbidden - fantasies can come true…

First off have to give a Huge Thank You to Kresley Cole for having a serial that is actually complete with a HEA. Not overpriced. Just the right amount of page length with the right amount of installments.  Superb ending with an epilogue.  Loved that I got a sweet, loving epilogue that put a huge smile on my face and it was all because of the sexy ex-enforcer Sevastyan.

Kresley Cole's writing is superb as I was emotionally tired right along with Natalie when it came to their relationship. I do not know how many times I was begging for Natalie to run away from Sevastyan and find her self because in reality I needed her to do just that so I can have a bit of piece of mind with her. Now that they are together it is a one sided relationship. He expects her to give and accept him the way he is but not vice versa. He is emotionally unavailable. He has always had one night stands and has never been in a relationship or know how to love. All he knows is she is his weakness and he can not let her go. This all goes back to his past and let me tell you once that was revealed I was jealous that Natalie got to be the one to sooth him. All I wanted to do was jump in my kindle and be the lover to take away his pain. His past broke heart and made me understand why he is emotional unavailable and why he does not drink.

Their journey to HEA is raw, dark, mixed in with some BDSM. There was no teasing, leaving me hot and bothered like  Part 1 and Part 2. No this is truly a full blown erotic and scorching-panty changing. Loved every minute of it and thought Kresley Cole did a sexy job with her first erotic novel.

I do have one complaint I really wanted the airport scene to go the other way. I really would of love to seen how that played out if it did. I was shocked the direction it took because I really thought it was going to go another way. I could not justify dropping my rating down a star because of this. I still loved how it went as is flowed nicely through the novel.

Sevastyan has skeletons in his closet that when one in particular came out I was freaking Mouth- Drops-Open shocked. I am hoping that this turns into a series because I really want to know more about Masksim and I think it would be kick butt.  Kresley Cole you will never read this but if you do, I am begging you turn this into a series.

He wants her. All of her.

NYPD sniper Matt Donovan is in Hell. Instead of driving his best friend’s little sister home from college, he’s stuck with her roommate—a fresh-faced ray-of-sunshine with a body that makes grown men weep. There’s no way he’ll allow himself to taint the little vixen, no matter how hard she tries to tempt him, so he resigns himself to the longest—and hardest—drive of his life.

Matt’s obvious attraction suits grad student Lucy Mason just fine. She had no idea her brother’s best friend was so deliciously hot. Knowing he’d never have his wicked way with his buddy’s sister, she lies about her identity and seduces him. But Matt’s no fumbling college boy. His desires run deep—and dark—and he wants to teach Lucy what wicked really means.

Matt’s demanding appetites only make Lucy want more. But when her cover's blown, he’s furious—even as his hunger for her becomes insatiable. Matt can’t trust anyone, least of all himself. And he knows all too well that darkness always destroys the light…

The blind date from hell is about to get hotter…

Brianne Nave is never doing her friends a favor again. When they begged her to go on a blind date, she didn’t expect someone so perfectly gorgeous. She’s a mousy librarian—totally not in this man’s league. And judging by his odd reaction when she opens the door, he knows it, too.

Air Force Pararescuer Ryan Flannery avoids his hometown at all costs. He’s not thrilled about the date until he’s shocked silent by the prickly little librarian’s sweet curves and kissable lips…and her smart mouth. But then an argument leads to a kiss that spirals out of control. How can two people have so little chemistry outside the bedroom when they fit together so perfectly in it?

When their friends strand them in a cabin to "work things out," Bri’s not sure whether to kill him or put the industrial-sized box of condoms they find to use. Bottom line—Ryan’s career military and hates the tiny town she loves. He’ll leave, just like everyone else in her life. And if she’s foolish enough to give him her heart, he’ll take it with him.

A betrayal he couldn't forget . . .

For Nate Dean, love is a four-letter word. As part of a secret black-ops military unit, he and his brothers were genetically engineered by the government to be ruthless soldiers with an expiration date. They were loyal only to one another . . . until Nate laid eyes on the woman who stole his heart and blew his world apart. Now, years later, his family is still paying the price for his mistake. But as time runs out, there's only one person who can save his family: the very woman Nate swore he'd never trust again.

A love she couldn't deny . . .

The moment Audrey Madison spies Nate across a crowded ballroom, she can barely breathe. He's just as undeniably sexy as she remembers, yet there's an edge to him now that's as irresistible as it is dangerous. When he asks for her help, Audrey can't refuse. But she has secrets of her own-secrets that, if Nate ever discovers them, may cost them both their lives . . .

Thoughts:
You know I would be all over the new Sin Brothers Cover. All Covers are lust worthy but Rebecca just had to make Nate Cover shirtless sporting a sexy five o'clock shadow and only showing his bottom half of face. Even better he is perfect in size, not too big and not too small. Drool bucket and drool rag needed.

Finally a well written Biker MC series I can add to my Biker reads I want more of. And it is a very small list so far only 3.  Pretty sad list considering that the biker trend has hit big and there are many out there I have tried to read and have lately been DNF.

Craving Constellations is a raw, intense, emotional, real read.  I felt Brenna and Dragon's pain and happiness. There are two scenes that are disturbing but flowed nicely through the novel.  Dragon's reaction when Brenna came home revealing her secret was a little shocker to me. There was a huge twist I did not see coming with another secret and the biggest betrayal ever. Now that scene was a huge shocker for me I was afraid to read on but I had to know how that scene played out and wow did I shed a few tears. My heart broke for both of them and had no idea how they would ever recover from that huge betrayal from Brenna and Dragon's reaction. Honestly if this novel was not well written I would of stopped at that disturbing scene but so happy I continued on. I do not approve of his actions for these scenes but I can relate to his anger and understand where he was coming from as my family has been close to his situation.

I do have a love/hate relationship with Dragon the sexy-tattoo-biker babe-possessive hero with an alpha male attitude. He is steamy-cold shower needed in the bedroom with his yummy dirty-talking mouth.

Nicole Biker's have their own world and I liked the direction she went when Brenna came home and their actions. They seem cruel considering what she just went through but this is their reality and they do not sugar coat anything but they will have her back and protect her. I do wish readers got to see more of their world especially when going on runs.

I felt as a biker read Brenna and Dragon's story concentrated more on their relationship than her biker world. I did at times enjoy the sometimes Dual POV. Loved getting inside Dragon's head when it continue on with a scene but I did not like reading the same thing sometimes in both dual POV. I wanted them to have more of a past together than just one drunken night instead of falling for each other the first night. The scene with her dad and her ex-husband I really wish that was shown and not just left for the readers to imagine what happened.  For these reasons I would of rated it 3 stars-Liked It. But  Nicole Jacquelyn has a great writing voice and Craving Constellations is well written that brought out so many different emotions in me I had to bump it up 4 stars-Loved It. The cover is nice but I do not think it fits for a Biker Novel. Readers get a little set up for Grease's story next in Craving Redemption (The Aces #2). After reading a expert/teaser I am interested to see how his story plays out.
